Here are three photos I took today. I hit the 20th month mark in August. From now on, I will be waiting three months at least before posting my progress so I can actually see some growth. It looks the same as it did a month ago. Nothing new. I posted a pic of the "Unruly Frankenstein Temple Hairs" from the back.
The unruly temple hairs
looks great and when it gets longer it;s going to look sweet as hell. I like the curls in the back.
Thank you Eric. I see that you're a new member. Welcome!
Hope to see some picture soon.
Wow Chris!
You are doing fabulously and your hair is looking great for below wthe two year mark. Keep it growing. You're going to have one heck of a super great mane (as if it isn't already) before you know it.
Justin~
Thank you, Justin! I am looking forward to achieving a super great mane! Thanks again for your kind comments and encouragement.
Take Care.
P.S I am really enjoying your genius innovation, Which innovation you ask? None other than the Faux Air Conditioning system. lol. Works wonders! Thanks!
Lookin' fantastic Chris! Eric is right, "sweet as hell"
I'm at the same point, noticable change just takes longer
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Thanks for the kind words, Bruce.
Looks great, Chris. I only hope that mine looks as good as yours when I hit 20 months.
Your brother in waviness,
Allen
Hey there, My brother in waviness! I am flattered by what you said.
Thanks a million as you've just made my day
Nothing too unruly here, ChrisH. The shiny hair is looking good. Congrats on 20 months!
Shawn (Mr.Crow)
Thanks Shawn! Yea, I'm sure my hair isn't inordinately unruly. You should know all about unruliness ;-). I really like your new avatar. It looks magnificent! You are truly an inspiration to all the fellow curly hairs. You are living proof that one can achieve a marvelous looking mane despite the little evil curls! Thanks again Shawn and take care.
My dear fellow horror movies maven ChrisH, you're lookin' good, GREAT even! Excellent results, or, as Mr. Burns, on the Simpsons, would say, "Ex-cell-ent!"
I still see starring you in a re-make of the 1930's horror classic, "The Old Dark House", as I WILL BE a filmmaker o/t old school style scary film. Thank you for posting your pics! Great results!
In longhaired AND classic movies camaraderie,
Quenyan (+;-)}
Why, Thank you Quenyan! I am flabbergasted to be considered for a role in your (Soon To Be) masterpiece. It would be an honor to work with you. I must insist that I get "The Mad Butler" role. I'd also like to thank you for the link albeit Punk is not my cup of tea. Since you are a horror aficionado, I'd like to share a link with you. I'm not quite sure if you are familiar with the Italiano "Giallo" genre(One Of My Favorites!) But if you are, Check out this link. The Maestro himself, Dario Argento, Is finally releasing the long anticipated "La Terza Madre" Known as "The Mother Of Tears" to our fellow English speakers. It is the third film pertaining to the "Mother" "Trilogy". First one was "Suspiria", Second was "Inferno". Enjoy!
. . . "La Terza Madre" series means to me! Whoa.
Have you seen his daughter Asia's "The Crimson Diva" before?
It's a kind of fictionalised autobiog of her's as Anna Batista, an actress working against the elements in the filmmaking field of, well, moviemaking. Very revealing.
Funny thing, ChrisH, I had got into an ARGUEMENT w/ her co-star, Joe Coleman, playing the lecherous producer, because he has decidedly nihilistic beliefs and I don't, when he and I had attended the NYC-based School of Visual Arts, when he was the blows-himself-up member of Steel Tips For The Dick, who had a Satanic lead singer, very, very scary!
All right, Signor Hernandez, the Mad Butler tis! Then again, bruh, my great-grandparents were the actress Billie "Glinda the Good Witch of the North" Burke and her hubbie Florenz Ziegfeld, sooooo, that whole 1930's aesthetic runs in the family.
PLUS, your hair style is legend, ChrisH, and longer or at its length right this minute doesn't even matter. You've already attained stellar status, that coming from a Watcher of mankind, psych!
Yours ALWAYS for longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
THE Billie Burke!? Amazing!
Unfortunately, I haven't seen Asia's Crimson Diva before. sounds great though. I might just purchase it and add it to my ever growing DVD collection. I figured you enjoyed Argento's work. He is the Maestro for sure! Style over substance. A true Artista.
Well my dear watcher of mankind *cough* *cough* E--L--F, Take it one step at a time and take care of yourself.
No text at all...
Why hello, " Zac", the fact that your wax dummy of Meatloaf got passed the moderators as you is, the way way of the world, isn't it? You're too funny, aren't you? We just, well, re the stuff of dreams, aren't we? See you in court. Bye-bye.
Judiciously yours,
Quenyan (+:-)}
Elven court?
And what exactly is a "Wax Dummy Of Meatloaf"
Wouldn't is just be a "Wax Loaf" ?
Again, please get out on that ledge. See you in hell! Ave Satanas.
Iconoclastically Yours
Zac (insert moronic symbol)
So, Zac, is this a formal invitation?
R.S.V.P.
Thanks, Zac! :-D Now I can't get this classic Fairport Convention song outta my noggin'... (Oldie but goodie)
Meet On The Ledge
(Richard Thompson)
We used to say that come the day
We'd all be making songs
Or finding better words
These ideas never lasted long
The way is up along the road
The air is growing thin
Too many friends who tried
Blown off this mountain with the wind
Meet on the ledge, we're gonna meet on the ledge
When my time is up I'm gonna see all my friends
Meet on the ledge, we're gonna meet on the ledge
If you really mean it, it all comes round again
And now I see I'm all alone
But that's the only way to be
You'll have your chance again
Then you can do the work for me.
Meet on the ledge, we're gonna meet on the ledge
When my time is up I'm gonna see all my friends
Meet on the ledge, we're gonna meet on the ledge
If you really mean it, it all comes round again.
Meet on the ledge, we're gonna meet on the ledge
When my time is up I'm gonna see all my friends
Meet on the ledge, we're gonna meet on the ledge
If you really mean it, it all comes round again...

Your hair is looking great, no question. Keep taking god care of those locks. I'll be looking forward to the 23 months update.
Peace,
Ryan
Thanks Ryan! Your locks are rockin' as well. Looking forward to your update too!
Hi Chris,
Did I hear you say a SMALL update, perhaps I misheard you? I would beg to disagree, this is an AWESOME update! Your hair just continues to get better and better every month, it is so thick and healthy! And congratulations on the tail! But seriously, do we have to wait for 3 more months for your next update, that is FAR too long to wait! Anyway, keep up the GREAT growth, and I am delighted to have you with us on the crew!
Take care,
David
The pleasure in mine, David! It is truly an honor to be able to work with the prestigious Dad of the hyperboard. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to comment on my "small" update. Your comments always bring me much joy. They are always genuine and supportive. You have never missed one single update of mine and for that, my friend, I am sincerely grateful. I wanted to try the three month thing because I do not want to come off as a redundant user that posts unnecessary updates. Three months worth of growth is a little more noticeable than one month. Well, David, Take care. Hope you had a great day today!
See you around amigo
Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for your wonderful and thoughtful words. I am delighted to have met you since I discovered the hyperboard last fall, and appreciate your support in my journey as well, you have always been there for me every step of the way.
Take care, my friend,
David
Great man Chris, that is going to look even more amazing in a couple of years!!
Keep it growing and flowin' Rock ON!!
Dave
Thanks, Wildman! I'm really looking forward to your next update.
P.S Have your hair under control? Been wearing the pony tail lately?
Nah its as mad as ever, although now it has a little weight it does go downwards at least!!
I only wear the ponytail when I need to, I like my hair free. Take care Chris, Cheers Dave.
lookin' good!! in this pic it sort of looks like you have a halo with the sun shining thru the curls. (but i know better, you little devil.) ;)
peace,
nic
Thank you very much my long haired sister.
I didn't notice the halo thing I had going on. Thanks for bringing it up. you are quite perceptive. You got the devil part right! ;-P
Luxurious, wavy curls. You've truly earned that beautiful mane, Chris. The two-year mark is just around the courner...assuming you survive the Florida heat this summer. Honestly I don't know how you guys do it. If the temps break 90 degrees and the dewpoints are above 65 I just sorta melt into a big puddle upon going outdoors.
Mouse (the Minnesotan)
I don't know how I do it either Mouse. This muggy humid temperature can sure be a pain in the neck. You are very fortunate to live in Minnesota. Give me the moose and the snow! Keep the sun and the beaches and might I add, !!!!!MOSQUITOES!!!! Millions of them I tell ya. Anyhoo, Thanks you for you kind comments Mouse. You have been with me every step of the way and I can't thank you enough. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Chris H (The Floridian)
Aww, come on, the mosquitoes aren't THAT bad. They only travel in swarms and carry away small children. ;-)
The challenge in Minnesota is that we get such a broad range of weather. For example, in the winter when it's really dry, I might only wash my face every-other day and even then still have to apply lotion. In the summer when the weather gets hot and muggy, I can clean it twice a day and still feel oily.
But in the end, every climate has it's weather challenges. I'll take mosquitos and snow over the stuff you deal with anyday.
Mouse
Hello there Chris! You hair's coming along great! Do you prefter to wear it loose or in a ponytail most of the time, either way it looks great:)
I would guess with all that heat, long curly hair can be a real hassle sometimes:D
Anyway, take care and hope everything is well with you!
Simon
Thanks, Simon! Honestly, I prefer to wear it loose but sometimes I must tie it up. Several factors. The heat, Humidity, wind etc... Most of the time I just have it loose though. Thanks again pal.
Perhaps you need to schedule a vistit with Dr. Frankenstein and see if he can cook up a remedy for that in the lab...
Carol
These are good photos. Your hair looks great even with the effects of the humidity we know all to well. I still like the color effects in the sunlight. I agree about spacing the updates out over three months. I know my hair is longer too, but it looks the same, so what's the point?
Hasta luego, Bragi
Well, this may very well be a, "small update"; but, judging from your recent pics here, you certainly have, "BIG, WONDERFUL HAIR!!!"
And that curl ain't nothin' to sneeze at, niether!!
- Ken
Personaly I like the Frankenstein look. LOL
I will say after 20 months your hair looks really good. I imagine you must be pleased so far an from here on it only gets better.
Thanks for the update.
Kevin
Chris
Lol Frankenstein them horror movies are going to your head my horror movie friend !!!!! Just growing like Brad Pit in Interview with a Vampire :-)
Zig ((( The Horror Movie Friend )))
Hey Chris, curly hair is the most difficult to grow, and frustrating at times. I know, because my beard is very curly. I have on many occasions thought of cutting the beard off.
Curly hair does not show as much length as straight hair because it is bunched up. Three month intervals is a good choice and should show noticable difference in your hair length with each update. Hang in there, it will get better with added length.
