My buddy has somewhat wavy hair and told me that he puts on a beanie (mostly after a shower to dry) for a couple of hours to straighten his hair. Does this really work?
He had longer hair back in early 2005 but cut after repeated use of iron straightening.
Are caps and beanies that effective? I'm guessing it won't work on really curly hair but his hair did seem straighter and it started parting from the middle as a result of the beanie pushing his hair down.
Straighteners are damaging, IIRC and my hair is wavy aswell. Should I go out and purchase me one? Beanie, that is. lol
I heard people here saying it's good at the awkward stage.
I used to wear a beanie all the time during the awkward stage and I found it a great help. It does to some degree straighten hair
Dude, beanies and caps were my lifeline during the initial awkward stage of growing my hair. Using beanies can result in scruffy looking hair to some degree if you don't tuck a lot of your hair underneath them, cause when you take it off later you'll have major hat hair. But definitely consider buying one as an alternative to a hair straightener or excessive styling products during the initial stages of growth.
Beanies are great. To get my hair straight, but without the hat head I just put the cap on for 10-15 minutes and it comes out perfect. Time could vary with different types of hair.
gotta agree with everyone beanies and hats are my awkward stage savior i wash my hair 1 every 2 - 3 days and put on a cap after some towel drying and it stays on till its completely dry leaving my extremely wavy hair much straiter and much more manageable
