Great shots of bangs from Mike S. I need to purchase a scanner to show mine. Anyone else out there who can show their bangs?
Another term for bangs are fringes; i.e. your hair brushed forward, covering your eyes, face, etc. For example, to see how long my bangs are when my hair is brushed forward, I would see that my hair is down to my chest.

Bangs sind das Haar über die Augen in der Vorne vom Kopf. Oftmals sind sie nicht so lang als Haar anderswo.
