How's it going, people?
Firstly, It's soon going to be seven months since my last cut (January 13th was the day) and I have had 2 trims in the 3rd and 6th months to the hair exactly above the ears and ONLY those parts. My dad told me to. >:S
Now, the rest are pretty long, the back is starting to look like some mullet as it curls out for some odd reason (doesn't bother me that much), the hair at the top of my head is starting to cover the shorter ones over my ears and my bangs are nearing my nose! Expected since when I cut my hair I had sort of a mini-bang? I didn't go for a buzz or w/e. <_<
Anyway, I have 2 choices:
1. Gradually get undercuts in that area every few months while growing my hair.
2. When my hair gets longer, I trim the bangs/back area, etc. to get it even with this undercut. I won't have any other undercuts if I pick this choice.
I really don't want to cut my hair off COMPLETELY and the undercut is no problem with me but please, has anyone had any undercuts? Either to the back and sides? Was it a good choice?
PS. Does my post make any sense? I haven't slept for 35 hours. And yes, it's true. xD
I had an slight undercut last year, I actually liked it. It made my hair easier to put into pony tails and shit.
If you want to go for it, do it. I also get the curling outwards problem, annoying as hell.

Yeah, man. I saw a pic of your curling out hair in your site.
Did the undercut make your hair fall down straighter? Since the only part that curls is the bottom-back I believe...
Might I add that you posted a good update. When I saw the first pic I knew your hair was shorter than usual, lol. Only then did I read about the trim.
I'm sure it will grow out looking better! Thanks for the reply.
Hi Marth, I'm one of those "throw the scissors away" guys so my first instinct is to say throw the scissors away! But perhaps a picture would help folks evaluate your situation better and then you can get the advise you want. (but still I say throw them out)

Here is the best choice of them all:
No haircuts of any type for at least the next two years. The hair will have a chance then to grow-out perfectly and will end up looking the best of all.
Will it even out by itself? :)
Absolutely. Just ask other longhairs who have attained great manes and allowed all to grow for a long time in the beginning without being touched.
This photo of my hair was probably taken about 2-1/2 years ago BEFORE my hair was ever given a dusting or gone after for split ends. Now it has reached wait level (actually it went further) but the "further" did not look well as terminal length had been reached and at that point I had it "cut" back to waist level. If you click on my avatar you will see what I recently posted of my hair when wet and dry AFTER I had it cut back.
When allowed to grow-out on its own the hair in the back takes on a nice natural V shape which most guys like to have. For those that don't, at least when you have reached a longer length all that has to be done is have the bottom cut straight across and all will still look even.
Hope this helps.
FYI, your avatar didn't show up on the post.
If you want long hair, grow it and wait it out until it evens out.
If you want to fit in with the fashion crew, trim to your hearts content :)
I am not fond of undercuts; but, there are a few guys who regularly come here that pull it off well.
The question is: Do you want loooooooong hair (as in, ALL of it long), --- or half-long hair? One choice will get you there far faster and far fuller than the other, --- and it is NOT chosing the undercut!
I agree with Justin & Scooper. Unless you absolutely cannot stand looking at it in the mirror right now (in which case, a MODEST trim would be my suggestion), just LEAVE IT ALONE!!! A year or so from now, you'll be SO glad you didn't undercut!
