Hey all,
Here is another irregular update at 26 months, I don't really notice the changes but I guess they're still happening. I still don't have any goal length, for now I will continue until the length annoys me :)
your hair is way longer than i thought it was from looking at your avatar! i have such a handsome pet! ;) the grey streak is a nice touch - - very dignified. makes you seem much less creepy than you are in real life. (hahaha)

LOL yeah it is a bit old but I liked the look of it. I prefer a good picture of me (they are so darn hard to come by), than a longhaired one lol. Besides the hair wouldn't fit in the frame anyways. I might look for another one like I told David.
I do like the grey now, but only because I had lots of people here brainwash me into liking it :)
Longhair hasn't changed my humor any (is that good or bad)? Hmm
Looking great, as always, Chris! Certainly an inspiration on this board. Your hair's uniqueness is nothing to be ashamed of, that's for sure. Keep it growing! =)

As always, it is great to see you around the hyperboard, and I hope you are feeling better these days, and that you are having some success with your health issues.
Your hair is AWESOME, it is in absolutely perfect condition, thick, and just grows SO fast! I also really like the natural gray patch, that just adds SO much character. Keep growing that fabulous mane, and I think it is time for a new avatar!

I am not quite so frequent a poster as I used to be but I am trying to come when I can. I am having "some success" yes but not quite as much as I would have liked yet. I am amazed my hair is still there after all the crazy diets and pills and such I have taken these last few months.
Thanks for the compliment David, I appreciate it. I still like this avatar but I suppose I could pick another one. The shape of the avatar really doesn't allow that much extra hair to show anyway so I doubt I would gain much. I might look at some of my past updates or this one and see if I like them at least as much.

Dude, your hair just doesn't taper! I love how your ends look so thick and relatively blunt. If it doesn't start annoying you, I think you could grow it a lot longer! Long hair definitely suits you.

I probably can grow it a lot longer, I am already past the terminal length my girlfriend has! She doesn't mind because she isn't sure she wants to keep her hair long anymore anyway lol
Now I will have to decide how long I want it. I haven't given it serious thought as I am already past the only goal I ever really had, ponytail length. I will have to just look around and see what I like in the real world. Although not so many great manes here as on MLHH. Well no hurry here :)

Thanks so much for the compliments Simon. If by taking care of it you mean minimal care such as washing and conditioning and not a hell of a lot anything else than yes I am lol. I know I have actually been really bad about it but I do hope to put more effort into finding a really good routine, (the right conditioners and oils etc) than I have so far due to other concerns. One reason I can't decide on a goal is that I am already past my original goal length that I always pictured that long hair is. Until I came here I thought ponytail length was the limit for guys lol So actually I am already kind of over my limit here and not sure what I want to do now. But since I haven't hated it yet i keep on keeping on lol

I must admit that the hair seemed longer to me in the side view for some reason. Perhaps because I never see myself from that view but I get used to the fromt.

Hey George thanks for the compliment. Yes youre hair is looking grand so far, I suspect it must be hard to grow it out as you are not in a typical longhaired occupation where it is readily expected or dismissed. Congratulations on going against the tide George, that takes guts and commitment :)
I also can't wait to see how your hair progresses, but no need to hurry it along too much. Once you reach your goal then waht do you do? lol

Thanks much Tristan, having all of you guys here inspires me. I probably would have long since cut it before this without you all reminding me of how I felt when I first came here. I tend to forget that feeling lately so all I have to do is come here and I can see the passion that started the whole process.
You will get there Tristan, I started with a rather ordinary short men's hair cut too, unlike the extreme people here going from bald or buzz to longhair all at once. What is it with these hair extremes people :)
Well, the hair looks great. Interesting thing going on there with the stripe of silver on either side. We shall have to summon the hair gods and pray that you never get annoyed. ;-)

Yeah Mark I had to fight my way through the paparazzi to get to my camera to take this picture! Thanks for the kind words and encouragement Mark, I appreciate it. When I take these update pictures I tend to do them as a last minute thing and end up using the camera's self timer rather than waiting for someone else to take a picture.
I simply cannot do a forced camera smile, even if someone else takes the picture the only way they can get me to smile is if they distract me from the camera by saying something funny then sneaking in the picture lol. The only halfway decent expression I can get when I use the self timer is a somewhat neutral expression. Unfortunately I haven't been on a vacation in a long time as they are excellent sources of smiles as you know :)
BTW I loved your comment about Del's cat and ID theft! That had me rolling! Thanks for the laugh my friend I needed that one!

Thanks Clayton for the compliment, waist length might be about as far as I can see growing it. I do not believe I ever want to actually sit on it :) It was weird enough when I first had the feeling when I leaned back in a seat that I had to watch how I moved my head lol. That was one way I knew I had long hair!

I think along similar lines, in that if the length ever gets to the point that it's no longer, "fun" (tripping over it on the way to the bathroom in the morning would be a good example of, "Enough is ENOUGH!" - lol), then why keep the annoying extra inches?
Well, we may both have a ways to go before we truly have to worry about it dragging and snagging on the floor; but, until then... keep it growin', as your mane looks hands-down SPECTACULAR!!!!!

For me more isn't necessarily better (heresy!), I will see what happens. My interest in long hair itself varies by the day as well so for now I resolve to do nothing with my hair until I resolve my other health issues which can cloud my judgement hair wise.
That is just fabulous long hair Chris and looks super!
I can well remember when you 1st appeared here and told of your interest in growing long hair.
Bet you nerver ever dreamed it would look as fantastic as it does!

Thanks so much Justin my friend for your warm encouragement now (and then too)! You have always been so supportive (and not just about hair) and I have always appreciated that. Looking back to that person who first posted here, I don't know that he would even recognize the new me. I tell you that side picture I took startled me even now! The hair just won't stop growing. I will have to decide what I want soon I believe. I am not sure how much I want to have but now it seems my self image is not as long haired as the real thing. A very odd situation indeed. I need to decide which I prefer lol.

Thanks for your kind words! I hardly even notice the silver now. When my hair was short they seemed more noticeable, but I think that was because I didn't like the grey then. Now the little bit of silver is lost amidst the rest of the hair lol
If you were hoping for longer than mid back length than that is a shame if you are near terminal. Mid back is a great length I think and if that was my terminal I wouldn't be too disappointed. Nature is ironic though and if I decide I don't want waist length hair I will have to constantly get it trimmed back to keep it where I do want it. I will probably have a really long terminal length that others might love to have and here I am considering how long is too long lol.

Well, I hope the length doesn't annoy you for a long time, because your hair is looking amazing, and I imagine it would look great at about waist-length as well. But if you decide to cut back, I think this current length looks great on you. With the facial hair and the streak of gray, you look like a Spanish nobleman or a dignified pirate (is that an oxymoron?) or something.

Hey thank you Bruce'ster! My avatar is pretty old, I may update it with a newer picture even though I like the current avatar.
I don't know how far I will grow out, terminal length or no. I haven't decided what length I like best, probably won't know until I go way beyond it! In the meantime I am glad to inspire other people the way I was insoired when I first go here :)
