my hair is past my waist, know, but every time, it gets past that point, the waist , it lookes thin-er, should i keep it past the waist or trim it too the waist. any in put would be great thanks, david in ks.p.s in the pic on me my hair is longer than that know.
It looks thinner because individual hairs grow to different lengths, and you head constantly sheds and grows new hairs. So, buy the time you are reaching terminal length, the hairs will vary in length depending on their growth stage. It's really up to you as to whether you want to trim it or not. Some do to even it out. If you are happy with it the way it is, and the fact that it thins out towards the bottom, then just leave it alone.

Great length, David. I am personally lookin' forward to that length again, stoopitlee sheered orf bekawz of a misdirected relationship that I'd found me in. Yeesh. Beautiful length you have. Power to you. But, sometimes, wear and tear demands we have certain upkeep and maintenance trimmings. Minor, mind you.
If you use as near a natural shampoo and follow-up conditioner with (my recommendation) of a soft boar's bristles brush, available at most hair care outlets, you should get excellent results.
Here's to seeing more follow-up postings from you here in the future. Your length is truly awesome. Nice contrast between the color of your locks and your facial hair, too.
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,

What has happened to you is EXACTLY what happened to myself. You have reached terminal at about the "normal+" point.
Because of the hair becoming most difficult to work with at 4" below waist level and not looking well at all because it had had-it, I finally went for a haircut to keep my hair at waist level from now on. You will be amazed if you decide to do the same how much easier it will be for you to take care of instead of all the excessive snares and tangles that the terminal ends set you up for as well as helping to demolish the hair that is still in good shape.
And, Your hair will look much better with nice thick healthy-looking ends.
Whatever you decide, best of luck to you.
I remember you.... AND i even remember that same ketchup bottle and kichen in the background (lol)!!
Anyway, glad to see you back, --- and your hair has DEFINITELY grown by leaps and bounds!!! Currently, I'd say your length looks wonderful; but I am finding the very same problem with my own mane as Justin and others have mentioned. The decision is really up to you; but my thoughts are that if it starts looking ragged & thin and begins snarling and snagging a lot, then keeping an extrea inch or 2 at the ends, just for "length-only", may not be worth it...
BTW, the color contrast between your beard & mane is pretty cool-looking; but, do you dye or bleach your hair? If so, that often inhibits greater length, as chemically-treated hair can more easily break off and split.
Anyway, hope these comments have helped!
Take care,
Ken in San Francisco
I was just thinking the same about the drowning tiffany lamp! LOL
Hi David,
Of course, it is always great to hear from another David! I don't think I have had an opportunity to say hi to you before, so my warmest greetings to you. Your hair is awesome, it is such a blessing to have the fabulous long, blonde hair past your waist that you are blessed with. I don't have too many suugestions as to what you should do with your hair, as my hair is so short compared to yours. However, some of the other guys who have legendary manes, such as Justin, have given you some excellent advice.
All the best,
(another) David
dude, kick ass hair. i WISH mine was that long.
wonder if the thinning is from your diet? if you're leaving your food out on the table all day long like in your picture, you could get sick. maybe thats what it is.
i tried adding some extra protein to my hair this weekend, but some people have been joking about it on here. i think maybe peanut butter doesn't work like I thought it would.
keep rockin' man, its look bad ass

Each person's terminal length varies. I agree with Carol's explanation.
It all depends on the look you like.
When my hair got past my waist, it really began to look thin at the bottom. I'm one of those people who like thick, healthy looking ends. So I cut mine to a little above the waist. But that's just what I personally like.
Do you lighten your hair? If so, that's not helping with the overall health of it. It will cause individaul hairs to break before they get the chance to reach maximum length.
Good luck on you decision!
