So since June 5th, when I shaved my face and body hair, and since have grown it back, I was curious about growing a big ass beard.
On my enthusiastic journey, I found out that I couldn't grow a 'traditional' beard because the hairs on my cheeks would start to stick out, and to me, it did not look good. So I chose to trim the sides with an electric trimmer.
NOTE: I'm not too keen on just having a goatee because I feel with long hair, it makes me look serial killer-ish, plus that look is all too common nowadays. Hence, I'd rather have somewhat of a half-assed beard on the sides. Makes me appear more noble. Heh.
Anywho, so then I opted to try and grow a long ass goatee. Except the hairs on my chin would start growing uneven and thus, I end up trimming that as well. LOL
But upon looking at these pics, I seem to conclude that perhaps the best type of beard for me would be one that isn't necessarily 'long', but thick and kept to my face.
I guess what I really like is the fact that my upper lip is covered by my stache. I always thought it was something I couldn't achieve due to genetics, but alas, I have done it!

Great pictures man. You have acheived several really different looks. Some of the pictures look GQ and the last picture is almost conservative looking (Oh my God!). Your hair looks great and the beard really looks nice, neat and is complimentary to your face.

ATP! Excellent pics! Thank you for posting! Ever the dapper lady's man! Say, any designer suit favorites? Mine are (were, really, since they're both discontinued lines) Yves Saint Laurent and Signor Nino Cerutti. Brooks Bros. comes in a very slow third. Anyone else?
Your beard configuration's the same as mine, "iffy" around the cheeks, full everywhere else (I'll post when I get a battery for my digital, slowpoke that I am), except that my goatee area is silvery nowadays, I s'pose inevitable at fifty.
When's your next stand-up gig? Those of us in the vicinity should show some support. Say, whadja think of those tornadoes in Brooklyn this mornin'? Pretty freaky, eh?

The beard combined with the really long hair give you a lot of character and prescence and it looks fantastic, I wonder, how long would you plan to grow the beard as i'm sure that it would look interesting?
