I have pretty thick straight-wavy hair. Its got tons of volume, and sometimes (like today) it just gets unmanigable. I'm at 15 months of growth and have no intention of cutting, but everytime I condition it, it seems to get even bigger and less managable. plz tell me whats the point of conditioner and what can be done to help my issue. Thx guys
Perhaps you're applying the conditioner incorrectly. Or perhaps you are shampooing too often. I avoid conditioning my scalp. I've noticed that when I condition my scalp, It gets itchy and my hair turns into one frizzy mess after it dries. I just apply the conditioner two inches above the ends of my hair then detangle it. Afterwards, I rinse it off completely. I've tried leaving some trace of it in my hair before but it just doesn't work out too well. My hair seems to get dry and tangle when I do this. Try shampooing less often and try different methods when applying the conditioner. You can also try some oils to help hydrate you hair better. Hope this helps. Good luck.
thanks guys.
Conditioner is designed to help retain moisture while adding volume to your hair. I suggest using mousse if you want your hair lay down more.
*make sure your using it properly
moisturize hair/detangle hair/make hair smell better/calm frizzy hair/over time, make it healthier
just find a different type of conditioner (whats good for one may suck for the other, everyone is different)
