Great update pics, BTW, --- sorry I haven't had time to reply to the many posts recently; but, sometimes work gets in the way of fun, unfortunately (lol)....
Re. my topic of, "Water-combing", what I mean by that is: after I let the1st application of conditioner sit in my hair a short while, recently I've been rinsing it out only, letting my shower head do the work of "combing" it out for me, so-to-speak... Does anybody else here do this? I follow up with a 2nd application of conditioner, which I then do use a comb on (after I finger-comb, first; starting at the ends, eventually working my way up to the hair nearest the scalp).
I realize this may sound incredibly wasteful, as far as going through conditioner real fast (and I use GOBS of the stuff - lol); but, I've found that the longer my hair has become, the more careful I have to be about not racing through untangling snags and snarls. If I'm in too much of a hurry, I end up ripping through my mane, hearing (and feeling) several SNAP! sounds...
Taking some extra time to use my shower to "water-comb" has helped reduce this problem, --- that, and also applying TONS of conditioner on the lower half of my mane!

Hey Ken: I never thought of it that way but I guess I water-comb my hair too. Sometimes at night I have bad tangles/knots and I'll wait until my morning shower to untangle them just with condition. It's amazing how well it works. I still have to finger comb it before combing but the tangles "slide" apart vs. having to take them apart with my fingers (if I'm lucky) when the hair is dry. I've seen my share of tangles this summer with all the activity and probably should be using more conditioner than I do. Cali Dreamin' - Bruce'ster
I guess I water comb too, now there's a name for it!
