So, I am not the most computer-savvy, at least when it comes to web programming stuff. But how do you post multiple pictures in the same post? I only see that one box at the bottom and it allows one picture. So how do I do it...in case I make another update and want to post multiple pictures without replying to myself. In other news, new avatar for me; the apostolic look is here!
People do this by linking to sites that already carry their picture like Photobucket. Set up an account there and post pictures, then link them here not Upload them.
Says the expert who never does this :)

I do not have a Photobucket nor do I wish to randomly post pictures to some other place in order to see them here so I'll just use the upload gadget one pic at a time...thanks though...
although i don't know your reason for not having a photobucket account - you can upload photos to the site and set the acount as private, so no one has access to them but you. you can still link them to another site, but you still can't go the the site and look at any others. so if it's a privacy issue, there's othing to worry about.
And I've been using imageshack all this time, seemingly oblivious to this privacy feature.
Next time I do an update, I'll set up a photobucket account, thanks for the info.
Hey, just realized...will a myspace account work? Because I have one of those...
depends. i think you can link individual pictures from there, but i've never tried it (but i know that they show the url when you go to edit the albums, so i would think it would be easy). i have my myspace page linked to my avatar, cuz that's just easier. and i don't care if people know every stupid thing about me. ;)
Is hilarious....... Your new "retarded" camera that is....

That's why we added "photo upload" as a feature. People have different preferences, and we try to be flexible.
We can't have photo upload take in more than one photo per post for a reason, by the way. It takes time to upload each photo, and there is a limit to how long the various components on the Internet will allow the uploading process to go on. We don't want people to get system crashes because they took too long. If we allowed multiple photos in a post, we'd have to allow less time for each one, and that would mean we could not take in the larger photos that many digital cameras now take.
Yes, people with fast upload speeds could push more data into a post, and yes, people could downsize their photos before uploading, and therefore a multiple uploading scheme would work for them. However, we want MLHH to simply work for everybody, no matter how tech savvy they are, or are not. We assume users really hate to get system crash notices (which usually don't tell them what really was the reason for the failure), and it is usually the least savvy who get bombarded with these offensive affronts the most.
If one does not relish using a commercial site like Photobucket, there is always the option of using the web space that most ISPs give their users along with their Internet accounts. This is free web space that most people have and most people ignore. You have to get a free program called an "FTP client" for your computer; it puts your photos into your web space. It is easy to use. However, getting and learning that program is an additional step that many people just don't want to take, otherwise we'd see a lot more photos in people's personal web spaces rather than in places like Photobucket.
The upside of using your own web space is that your material is not there at the whim of some corporation. You are paying for that space so you own it. This appeals to some longhairs who don't relish being controlled by others, especially large corporations.
MLHH is actually a very large example of just that, by the way. Otherwise, you would be visiting a Yahoo group or other corporate atrocity right now, and grooving to all its blinking advertising. But far more sinister, the corporation could just decide to abandon the free service one day on a whim, and your community would just be gone.
