...and said to myself, "Whoa, that's not my hair, is it? That hair is awesome." It's been surprising me recently. The lower edge of the hair is several inches down past my collar now and is nice and strong and soft and a good color, IMHO. I think I am getting closer to my ideal length (even though I am waiting for the top hairs to reach ponytail length). I also have been toying around again with twists and buns and tails to see what I can do--I might be able to pull off a small bun now. I think I finally became a longhair.

My hairs about 18inches from top to bottom at the front, not sure if u can classify that as "long", any suggestions?????
COOL!!! I know the feeling of which you speak, and it is indeed an "arrival" time, --- time to say to yourself, and celebrate, "I now feel like a real, true LONGHAIR!!!!!"
I remember when I first felt that way myself, back in the '90s when I first grew my hair long. I had wanted long hair for so, so long, --- and yet I didn't have it long enough to put it all back into a tail until my 40th birthday. I continued growing it out all the way thru the '90s and into late '99 and early 2000, when it made it to around my lower back / waist level....
When I cut my hair short in the summer of Y2K, I went through the whole process all over again; but again, there came that day after about 2 years later when I felt like "myself" again!
A big CONGRATS to you, --- and your mane does indeed look hands-down AWESOME!!!!!!!

As with cameras I try not as stay in front of them and I'd hate 7 years of bad luck!

I know how you feel man. When I first started growing my hair I thought I would never be happy with it but now I really like it and want it even longer.
Lucky you! The last time I walked by a mirror I nearly had a heart attack!
I know how you feel for me the feeling of having arrived was when the hair got caught in the car door on a windy day. it was like wow I am really a longhair. Now it happens all the time and is just plain annoying but oh well.
As for mirrors I avoid them, mirrors are the devil. LOL

Wow. That is shocking to hear that someone wants to join me in hair length. I am used to be short among the long and wanting to join others or I am used to being long among the short with no one wanting to join me.
