Hey all,
Just thought I'd share a pic of me and my new kitten. He is also a long-hair (a persian) and is called Hercules!
Kinda looks like he's growing out of my vest in the photo. I think he looks a bit like Gizmo from Gremlins.
Well done to everybody for all the latest update pics, they are looking great.

Your kitten is hands-down ADORABLE!!! But, the title of your post brought back to mind a funny but controversial occurance that happened a long time ago on the Johnny Carson Show, when Johnny was interviewing guest star & former beauty queen Jza Jza Gabor. This is how I remember the story going...
Jza Jza (not sure if I spelled her name correctly) brought with her to the TV stage her exotic long-haired Persian cat, which sat quietly in her lap, purring, while Johnny proceded with the interview. Although I didn't see the episode first-hand myself, several friends of mine who told me about this story DID, --- so, this is apparently all true. Anyway, somewhere during the interview, Jza Jza asks Johnny (in her sexy Hungarian accent) the following question:
"Vould you like to pet my pussy?"
And Johnny, who was famous for being incredibly quick with outrageous come-backs, then said the following answer back to Jza Jza:
"Sure, --- if you get the damn cat out of the way!"
I hope the other moderators will fogive me for narrating this; but, I couldn't help but be reminded of it (lol)!! And, by the way.... The follow-up of what happened after Johnny said that was that apparently Jza Jza slapped Johnny in the face, the TV show went dark for a few moments, only coming back on after Jza Jza had walked off the set. Johnny was later sued for a huge amount of $$$; but, in my opinion, Jza Jza brought the comment on herself (she's not THAT "innocent' a woman - lol).
By the way, your hair looks GREAT, Troy! And I have 4 cats myself, --- so, in that way you can even call me a , "pussy-lover", too (lol)!!

Thanks for the link to all the info about the legendary story's falsehood... I have no reason to doubt now that the cat story, as funny as it is, is simply, "Urban Legend" that has lasted a looooooong time! As I prefaced my own narration of the story, I admitted to not seeing this exchange myself; but I can't begin to tell you how many people who told me that story swore it was the truth (lol)!! Just goes to show you can't believe all the gossip that comes out of Hollywood!
Thanks again, Walter... Troy's kitty was cute, though, --- and where he was sitting on his lap couldn't help but remind me about that famous story (lol)!!

Thanks Walter, I too heard the tale but not the bit about her slapping him and the fade to black for a few seconds, reading that in Kens post I thought to myself "that show was taped"
I could see Carson saying that but Standards and Practices would not have it as you said.

Haha, I had a feeling a cat would be involved somehow. Cool picture. I definitely like cats when they're younger, but my twelve-year-old isn't anything to complain about.

Awwww what a cute li'l sweetie pie. But you do realize that kitty will be a lot of work, hair wise. All that thick fluffy long fur needs regular brushing and combing. And don't be surprised if Hercules decides to amuse himself with _your_ hair, a la nic, who posted a pic recently of her kitten playing with her locks. Congrats on the new kitten!

He's a very fluffy, very cute Hercules. Perhaps someday he shall slay the Nemean lion. :-)
