I've been liking how my hair has been working lately. It's definitely grown a little bit since the trim, but it looks great. :D
Note* This is NOT the 7 month updates, they will come early september.

Chris ...
The hair is coming along nicely. It looks like your ears are disappearing already. Thats great. Keep up the great work.
Tristan
Looks cool! You'll be a longhai before you know it:D
Simon
Though I am not usually terribly fond of sideburns, I would suggest that you let them grow to the bottom of your ears until your hair is much longer. It will bring the eye down and make your hair look longer.
Have a look at James' (Raymond) site to see how his sideburns helped - without without pix.
Hi Chris,
Unlike that other silly "John" it's been an aweful summer and alot of rain but that don't put us hardy Brits off.
Cheers,
John.B
PS...anyone for a wet BBQ!!!
They actually go past my eyebrows now. When I pull my fringe down, it goes past the eyes and about 3/4 way down my nose. :D
- Chris PhoeniX -
OK, Chris, that's EXCELLENT that your fringe is now 3/4 way down your nose... Now, this is currently late August, 2007... Do you think that maybe by Aug. of '08 that possibly, maybe there just might be a fighting chance that possibly, maybe, HOPEFULLY your fringe just might make it maybe, possibly even PAST your nose by next year???
All it takes is staying away from getting so many trims. Seriously, all sarcasm aside, you have a GREAT head of hair to work with, --- and I'm not even going to bring up the topic of coloring your hair (that's an entirely separate subject, --- one that you probably already are aware enough about, anyway)... It's totally up to you, of course, if you want to someday see your hair get truly looooong. But, IF you do... then you need to stay away from the scissors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The first time I remember seeing update pics from you, your hair was longer then than it currently is now... I think that was 2, maybe even 3 years ago! What's the point of having an, "update" on a Men's LONG Hair Hyperboard, if you hair keeps getting cut back to shorter? Just some, "food for thought" for you to chew on...
- Ken in San Francisco
Ok, I wasn't even on here 2-3 years ago. And you know I cut my hair early this year and am growing it back.
Dude, calm down, no need to get mardy now, is there.
I'm sorry I don't have super long hair, but you don't have to be so negative, jeez...
thanks to those supporting people, who actually understand what I do.
- Chris PhoeniX -
We do support you but it seems like you are giving in so much. Seems like you are more bothered about fashion than growing it long, if so that's your choice but it's not much of an update :P
I know what you are saying, but considering I have been growing my hair from scratch, I see it as an update.
As a Brit ex-pat living in the US, let me answer that.
It does often rain in England, but total rainfall is not especially high. There are very few storms and lots of days with a light drizzle of rain. The sun does come out inbetween the rain, though! People say that an Englishman always carry an umbrella, and this is more or less true, because we never know if it will rain or not. Flipping a coin is usually just about as accurate as the official weather forecast.
The old fogs were actually smog, caused by burning coal fires for heating, which disappeared back in the '60s when 'smokeless' zones were introduced where you had to burn coke instead. Coke is a sort of 'pre-burnt' coal that produces less pollution (as opposed to a drug or a soft drink!).
Coke in turn became irrelevant when everyone got gas fired central heating using water circulated through 'radiators' (heat exchangers) in each room. Hot air (as opposed to water) central heating never caught on, because no-one has air conditioning, as English summers aren't hot enough to need it. The temperature in London stays mostly between 20 and 80 degrees F.
Here in Washington, DC, the normal temperature range is more like 0-100 F instead of 20-80. This is because London is warmed by the gulf stream (yes, I do mean the sea current from the Gulf of Mexico) and Washington isn't (it heads NE when it hits Cape Hatteras, NC, before it gets to the capital), and yet London is on the same latitude as Nova Scotia. If global warming makes the gulf stream change course, the UK is scr*w*d!!
To me it feels like I get alternately BAKED and then FROZEN every year in Washington, but what really bugs the h*ll out of me is all the people who incessantly ask me "isn't it colder in England?". The short answer is no. You already have the (really) long (boring?) answer.
I thought this site is MEN's Long haired hyperboard? You look like you're 5 years old. You don't even have long hair.
Hi Chris,
Love the shade and very "cool dude". The pictures and hair are great and keep it growing. I'd ignore the other comment from a person that has the same name as me!
Cheers,
John.B - Another brit!
Yeah, he's just an angry troll. Probably the same guy who insulted me on my site as Joao.
Thanks for the good words.
- Chris PhoeniX -
Looking good Chris, good style. Almost time for a new avatar!
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Love the style, especially the last picture.

We all have made mistakes in the past with our hair, but I don't think we're on this site to crucify anyone. Chris, your hair will be great as it gets longer. Just stay away from the scissors and dyes from now on. =)
