Got a half-tail in right now. Hair was getting in my eyes while working and so I needed to restrain it. Cannot do the full tail yet as it leaves a few pieces to flop around.
Anyway, passed by a mirror and it looks decent even if it feels kinda funky to this longhair not used to it.
Do not have any pictures of it but perhaps I'll try it again when I get home.
Oh, and that grass metaphor...gonna write it up eventually.
Hi Antesse,
I like half-tails a lot, for some reason; but I rarely wear them like I used to, back when my hair was more around shoulder-length. As my hair has gotten longer, I tend to get lazier about wanting to deal with the aftermath of tangles, --- so I bun, braid, or make a segmented ponytail nowadays... It's less interesting-looking than a half-tail; but I have less snarls, snags, and breakage at the end of the day!
Your mane is looking GREAT, by the way!!

Photos do not do it justice. Perhaps that is one of the mysteries of long hair. It's dynamic character is important--that being the motion of the hair is part of the appearance.
In case you do not believe me, then consider the sheer amount of times a female character in a movie gets the slowmotion hair flip.
Plus even my avatar picture seems a little dated even though I put it up only a few weeks ago.
