Dear members,
I have uploaded my picture on this board. This picture is about 2 months old. Since then I have had 1 " growth.
Can anybody suggest some hair styles for just casual outings.
Thanks a lot in anticipation
Hi Priyanka,
Your hair & earrings look nice!
Some things you could try:
- Braid starting at the back of the neck
- French braid starting at the top of the head
- Separate braids left and right halves
- Barrette gathering hair midway on head
- Large rubber band gathering hair at top for "topknot"
- Small barrette at top of hair and another a bit below the shoulders to gather the middle section of hair in back
- Large colorful "claw" clip below the shoulders
- Center section pulled into barrette over the forehead in front
- Hoop earrings in front about 2" diameter with hair down
- Small, thin chain style long dangly earrings about 3" in back holes
- Two 1" gold hoops in one ear, two 1" silver hoops in the other
Hope this helps!
- Chris
nothing wrong with the "topknot" idea if thats what you want, but a RUBBER BAND? Not a good idea. Maybe you Chris just meant one of those elastic hair ties, but rubber bands are NOT good for hair! If you use rubber bands to hold your hair ( doesn't matter if it's a topknot or just a regulr ponytail or whatever ) they WILL pull out and break your hair.
You're right, Shirley, I was thinking of one of the padded elastic tie thingies not a regular rubber band. I don't know the name of it, it's more like a rubber band than like anything else.
Thanks,
Chris
Ponyties maybe? Does anyone konw if they have these ponytail ties
without the little metal part (not scrunchies)?
Thank you for any answer I may get.
I use some elastic bands without metal parts called "Hair Hosiery", and others called "No Damage". They are both made by Scunci and are available at K-Mart.
Thanks!
Rubber band: as per Oxford English means loop of rubber to hold papers etc. together. Elastic Band: according to the same old English dude means elastic cord or fabric woven with strips of rubber resuming it's normal shape after contraction. Now that dispenses with formalities - I continuously search flea markets and the likes for decent hair "thingies" which I have aptly named hair bungies. For two reasons a bung can be a strand of hair and the Bungie tribe of some remote jungle place that ties their feat to a bungie chord and jumps off the face of whatever he may be standing on at that moment. I liked the idea of "hair bungies" and it stayed.
If I had hair length like yours and since it is a casual outing, I'll "let my hair down" (both literally and figuratively) :)
