I took this pic with the flash, and i have those kinda short frizzy hairs that's sticking out in the upper part of my hair and on the sides as, is this normal and will it get settle down better with added length?
It's more noticeable in sunlight or when in a room with much light.
It may also be the fact that i washed my hair today, usually about a day after my hair looks better.
Everytime i wash and condition it i just comb it gently with a wide toothed comb then let i dry naturally for a few hours.

I thought you were still using Brylcreem....? I'd use a lit'll dab of that and you should be good to go.

Hi Simon, I have them also and I know that they are the "reinforcements" or the hair replacing the longer ones that are shed, but they still bug the heck out of me! I will say though that we tend to be critical of ourselves and if you look at other people on the street, especially those with longer hair, you will see that everyone has the frizzies. Still it is a pain in the butt.
Your hair is coming along nicely and has good natural color. Keep on growin'!

Those frizzies are completely normal. Even the person with the straightest, sleekest hair possible will still have them. You can only do so much to control them (hairspray or a little gel or oil), but some are still uncontrollable. Your progress is looking great, Simon! =)

Hi Simon
All of us have those short frizzy hairs and from your photo it hardly looks as if you have a bad case of them in the slighest. (It is just part of having long hair.) However, there is a way to tame them quite well that I discovered that worked for me (though I no longer bother) and this might be a help to you.
1. Rinse both hands in water. (Leave wet.)
2. Apply just a bead or two of gel to the palm of one hand.
3. Rub both palms together to distribute the gel between both hands.
4. Smooth down lightly over your hair and presto.........90% improvement.
The nice thing about this is that when dry (which takes about a minute) the gel is not detectable, but it DOES keep those frizzies down for quite a long time. Hope this helps.

Very good instuctions Justin. I'm gonna go try it!

Baby hairs, new growth replacing shed hairs. I have lots of them, since I am growing back a lot of hair shed before I was diagnosed and treated for thyroiditis and osteomalacia. Mine are much longer now, and they are not sticking up as much as they used to. If you have wispy fine hair, like I do, they tend to stick up even more. A bit of gel applied to damp hair, or a finishing spray, can help hold them down.

Coincidentally I'm having a good hair day, the frizzies are behaving themselves nicely. Last week I picked up a tube of Alberto VO5 Sheer hairdressing and had been using it on dry hair. Today I used it on my wet hair and it feels pretty good.
