While the media is busy showing pictures of long-bearded terrorists, I found on the web a GOOD story that includes someone with a beard and long hair. The Oakridge boys visited the first patient who received the world's first Abiocor Implantable artificial heart. The patient is doing well, and another patient just received an artificial heart.
One of the Oakridge boys has an excellent long beard and long hair, and has kept it long for many years.
That is Lee Golden, isn't he awesome?
Willie Nelson did an excellent closing song on a TV fund raiser for the survivors of last week's event in New York. It's about time the broadcast television media does something that makes people and this country stronger.
It's amazing that I saw the show. I almost never watch commercial TV because I mostly boycotted it because the content has had so much barbaric aggression. Tonight's show was good. Tonight's program seemed like it was made by someone who cares--at least the version I saw in California aired Friday night September 21, 2001 "America A Tribute To Heros".
I'll add that longhair Tom Petty expressed the resolve and spirit so many longhairs know and share, in a moving performance of his song, "I Won't Back Down."
