Hi. This is me at about 9 months since my last haircut. I'm starting to get to the point where my hair is easier to deal with...or I'm just getting used to it.
My hair has been pretty short my whole life. I got into this by accident. I liked to get my hair cut by this lady I know, and for one reason or another I could never catch her working. My hair was getting longer, so I thought, what the hell.
I thought I would have hair past my shoulders in a year. Now I realize what a commitment this will be!

Welcome BbbyBld. Even though you stumbled into long hair, deep down in your heart you were always a longhair. You're just past the awkward stage and everything looks good. Here hoping you "keep on growin'" (It's worth it!)

All kinds of reasons to grow out aren't there. Well I think you're looking good so far and I would definitely keep up with growing out. It won't always be easy but I think it would look on you. Stick it out and you might really surprise yourself. Hair is supposed to grow about half an inch a month to give you a general idea. I never measured my own rate but that is what I hear around here :)

I am confident you will be pleased with this self assertion in the long run. Of course, long hair is a little more tourble, but so is brushing our teeth. You are off to a fine start.

Your story made me laugh, just because it reminds me of how I started off. I basically just became lethargic and didn't realize my hair was long until it was on my shoulders.
So yeah, more than one person has tripped and stumbled into having long hair.
Welcome BbbyBld. Your hair is off to a good start and should smooth out with added length. Maybe missing your hair stylist repeatedly was no accident. Perhaps it is your destiny to have long hair.
Growing it long is a major commitment, and a very worthwhile one. With a few years of patient growing you could have hair that reaches your lower back.
