This is a picture of me with my hair straightened (yes, i know it's not good for the hair) at a robotics competition in March 2007 (1 month b4 cut). I was dancing to some song during a break, it was really fun.
Anyway, just thought it would be interesting to see what my hair looks like without all the curls. It was cool, but i think i'll stick with my curls, lol. 5 month update coming up in about 2 weeks.

Yeah, its strange to think that us guys with naturally curly hair possess something that many others admire and try to emulate occasionally (perms, styling products, etc). On the contrary, some people prefer the stick straight look when their hair has curls regularly, and thus go about altering it.
I sometimes forget that in its own unique way, curls are a blessing. At this point I'm perfectly happy with the way my locks are developing. Here's to many more years of good looking hair.

It's cool to see what you looked like with straight hair but yep straighteners are bad and you learned your lesson. I know you've got a year to 18 months of hair hell before you yet but once your there your hair will look amazing. Keep up the good growth and

I think recently, on the board, it was said that those with curls want straight hair and those with straight hair want curls. (the grass is always greener?) I checked your blog pictures for August and I have to say that your hair appears to be growing at an exceptional rate! Your can even see a big difference between July and August. Keep up the good growth and try not to let the awkward stage get the best of you. In fact embrace the wild feeling that your hair offers! (it's part of the joys of be a longhair)
