Hullo hyperboard!!
It's been quite a long while I know and I'm only 'back' for this one post (for now!).
Most of you know why and all of my previously fellow mods know why I 'disappeared' from the board.
But for those of who who don't, it's because over the next 4 months, I am:
1. Finishing of my University Undergraduate degree (B. Liberal Studies [B.Liberal Stud. baby!). Which means 6 (i.e SIX!!) Subjects in my last semester.
2. 6 (although now 5 as I am doing it via Distance learning & I've finished one) Personal Training subjects
3. Getting ready physically for my trip (I leave New Years Eve) to Calgary, Alberta Canada, where I will undertake 3 months of professional Wrestling training under lance Storm!!! (see stormwrestling dot com for a future mug shot of me next year heh)
So that's it, but my hair is coming along nicely too. I've had quite a few split ends recently, so i've started to become more consistent in the 'search and destroy' method (i.e. you might occasionally see me with mid-back hair with a big pair of scissors in my hand!).
Also the hair, either because it used to be lighter, or more because of the effects of the sun and wear and tear is getting quite light at the ends.
I was actually worried for a while that I was nearing terminal, but I'm still not sure about that.
If so though it'd really suck as I'd like at least another 6 inches of length or so (between elbow length-when arms are held down by the sides-and waist length).
K that's it. i'd love to hear any comments from old friends and newbies to Deanof316 alike!
And for all those just starting to grow out their hair or those like me who have plenty of length but want more (more, always more!) best of luck with it.
For those short-hair lurkers, c'mon take a chance and grow yours out! and for those who have the length they want=*whatever* that is, all the best with maintaining it!
Dean out!
Sydney, Australia , mate :-)
Hey there Dean glad to see you back again if only breifly as it sounds like you are quite the busy guy.Your hair looks great in those two pics and it sounds like your finding the time to do the required maintainance on the ends.Well I certainly wish you the best with your training in Canada as its smart of you to work out and be as prepared as possible for what will be a tough three months I'm sure. Thanks for updating us all on what you are up to and do stay in touch from time to time.Mark
As usual your hair is coming along nicely. So after 42 months, it's down to your waste now, right? It reminds me of Marzena Godecki's hair after she's had a dip

I only wish mine was as long as yours right now lol
Good golly! That is a busy life. Concerning the split ends, do you use any beneficial oils or leave-in treatments at all? Ends are the most prone to dryness, which promotes splitting. Also, be sure you use sharp scissors for doing S&D. I have been putting Redken Hair Butter Treat on my ends after towel drying my hair. Others like oiling their ends with Jojoba, sweet almond or EVOO (Extra Vigin Olive Oil).

Hey Dean!
Good to see you back if only for a little while. Good luck with finishing your Uni degree and all the Personal Training programs. You are quite the busy man!
I am looking forward to you WWF premiere but I think you will have to work on the moniker. I don't see Deanof316 striking terror into the hearts of your opponents :)
You're looking excellent too BTW, you rock!
Take it easy mate, I am glad things are going your way!
ChrisG
Good golly, you're a busy man Dean! Congrats on your studies going well. Good luck on your wrestling career, and of course your hair is looking great. (Good luck on dealing with those splits) Man do I ever agree with your last statement! I'll bet there's plenty of shorthairs out there that hang back due to societal pressures. Go head take the plunge!
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Your hair is looking good Dean. Hopefully it will at least reach your waist. That can take 5 years or even longer if you happen to be really tall. Keep growing it for sure.
Scott
Nice to have you with us for a little while Deano!
Your hairs looking awesome mate! Keep it growing forever!
Hi Dean,
Welcome back, even if it is only a short visit, it is great to see you again. Your hair is looking great, and it is definitely longer than your last update. I will be reaching 42 months in October, and mine is considerably shorter. Also, my best wishes to you in your studies, I am sure you will succeed with flying colours!
Take care,
David
hey Dean,
Good to know that you're achieving your dreams... Can't wait to see you fight Shawn Michaels... :D
Hip, hip, hooray! Deanof316 is back! Great t'see ya, ol' mate! Lookin' good! So, not only will ya be Deanof316, you'll be the Dean of the University AAAND Dean Of Wrestling, too! LOL!
Coincidentally, jus' heard from my longhaired friend, Chris, in Melbourne. I've gotta figure out how to shoot HIS pics of him and his painted macaw, Samson, over to here. Any tips? I'm fairly computer illiterate.
Funny story abt. his great-uncle. Made a fortune in cutlery in Scotland, fell in love w/ Queen Victoria, WILLED Her Majesty the family's (my longhaired friend Chris' family's!) holiday home. Quess what it was? Balmoral Castle!
The rest of Chris's relatives were so disgusted with that, they left the U.K. in outrage for Kiwiland. Chris is in Oz now, though, better job prospects.
So, Dean, you're lookin' great. Jus' watch that your ever-lightening ends don't puff, bifurcate, and become split ends; I'm sure someone'll advise you as to what products are out there to toughen the shafts.
Good luck w/ your wrestling tutelage and the rest of your studies at university! You rock! And I hardly noticed that you were wearin' wire rims in your first shot there. Where can I get those?
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan
Hi Dean
Needless to say you have much on your plate but it all sounds positive and I hope goes your way. Your update is brilliant your hair is awesome I wish you the best for the future.
Kevin
Hi Dean,
It sure does sound like you are busy, so to keep you from wasting any time reading this, I'll keep it short. I'm glad to hear all these different things are falling into place for you and that you are so looking forward to your wrestling training. I'm sure you will do well, and I look forward to seeing you TV! Also, your hair looks great as always. Sorry to hear about the ends splitting and such, but I am sure that this will not really be a problem in the long run. I have always heard from many here that the longer the hair the more gently it must be treated. I am sure you know this already though. I guess Sydney is as pleasant as usual, and let's see, you guys have summer coming up soon. That concept always baffles me!
We must however take some time soon here to brainstorm a wrestling name for you. I am sure that among us all, we can come up with something creative. I still like the "Nazarite Nightmare," but something simple would be good too like "King Jeroboam" or the like.
See you soon, Bragi
Hey Deno'Reno: Good to see you back, if only for this post and good luck with ALL THAT! (sincerely) The hair looks great and your attitude is a match. As for me...the new school year has begun and I have my hands full with a new group of 5th graders. They catch on quick and already call me the nutty professor with the wacky hair. I can't imagine why.... Keep up the good work man. Bruce'ster
Excellent progress and best of luck with your degree the wrestling. Enjoy your journey to this side of the world!
Fantastic hair - no doubt Deano!!! You have come such a long way since I first lurked here and your look is tremendous, especially with the glasses aswell - very cool.
Great to hear from you again, and I'm glad to see you are keeping busy.
regards, Dave - ROCK ON \,,/
The hair is looking great, Dean! I'm glad you're surviving all of those courses, and best of luck to you with the wrestling.
