So I was just googling some hair websites and stumbled upon this 'emo' board and clicked on a topic just to see the length of hair these guys have, and after viewing the first three pages I kind of felt embarassed and sorry for them. o_O (not so much the girls, but the guys...)

I just wanted to ask, don't their parents feel ashamed or something? No offense, but these are the types of guys who look like they get their asses kicked at school on a daily basis. :S
The thing that annoys me the most is that most of these guys are only doing this just to 'look cool' nowadays among fellow teenagers. I mean, hair on your face, covering your eyes and ears? That doesnt feel good at all.
You talk about how Mullets are bad then look at those guys. They've got REVERSE mullets for god's sake. And IMO, I'd rather have a Mullet than what people call 'emo' hair.
Yeah, this is a rant if you want. :P And keep growing it the PROPER way.
How do you expect other people to respect your hair if you go on rants about other hair styles?
Maybe they are doing it to look cool, however most people seem to hate "emo kids", and if they are getting their butts kicked everyday at school, they are probly going to an empty school by now after all the people beating on them got expelled :)
There is nothing wrong with mullets either, if someone wants a mullet then they should get one and be happy about doing what they feel they should
"...and after viewing the first three pages I kind of felt embarassed and sorry for them."
"And keep growing it the PROPER way."

Wow... Your hate would make Darth Sidius proud.
I think as long as the person likes their hair, its perfectly fine. If no one else likes it, oh well. If I had done what everyone else told me, I would still look like everyone else.
Oh, hair over your ears? Doesn't feel bad at all. I hate it when my ears are out. I think its a growing up in Maine thing. Cold ears suck...
Hair over the eyes? Not nearly as annoying as it seems. Bonus: Natural way to keep the sun out of your eyes.
Personally, I'm trying out any new style I think looks cool. I did the "emo" side part, hair over the eyes, thing recently and it looked pretty good. I've kept it that way for half a week or so.
So drop the hate, open up your mind and relax. Or don't. Its all good and it'll all work out in the end...
"And keep growing it the PROPER way"
there is no "PROPER" way, everyone is an individual :)
and i think people should have their hair how they want :D
and if people wont so judgemental on appearance people wouldn't have to try to be 'cool' in the first place
open your mind :O
Each to his own I guess, but I suppose that's what we're all about, isn't it? I mean if we had listened to people complaining about our hair we would all be buzzheads!
Bruce
Haha. I have never had a Buzzcut but true...
Well marth, I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with you. I laughed when I read all the other replies. "open your mind" LOL
who are you to tell other people what they should or should not look like
who are you to tell me what i can or can't tell someone to do?
because people should be a 1st rate them instead of a 2nd rate somebody else
I won't say too much because I'd just be repeating everything everyone else said. What I will say is, everyone has personal opinions and tastes. It's one thing to say you don't agree with an opinion, but it's a whole new ball game the instant you say it's "wrong." That's crossing the line from disagreeing, to shallowness. Why should we give a blue bunny's dorsal fin if someone wants to hide behind their hair? It's simply not our choice to make.
Minds are like parachutes, they only operate properly when open.
What does it matter how they have their hair? At least they aren't part of the herd.
...and exactly who gets to decide what's *PROPER*? If we pick someone who wants it to be something you don't like, will you change what you're doing so that you can be *PROPER*?
This type of attitude is no different from those who insist on buzz cuts.
Meh.
If that's the way those kids want their hair, then more power to them.
Well, my 14 yo neice would vehemently disagree. She loves Emo's. Her MySpace is full of pics of them. It's just a hairstyle, just like longhair and buzzcuts are. To each their own.
