Hey guys,
A couple of weeks ago I posted that I had thick, full, waist length hair and I got a mohawk, leaving the length but buzzed the sides. I had asked advice on growing it out by letting the sides grow out to catch up with the mohawk or cut it all short and start over if at all. Thanks for the responses.
I am at the crossroads of buzzing it off and starting over again or staying buzzed.
My boyfriend wants me to get shaved bald and I had been undecided but I decided to sty with long hair, though I may have to cut it short and start over again.
I've let it start growing out and it doesnt look too bad yet though I've talked to many hairdressers and a good barber friend of mine and I was told that it will start looking more awkward while the sides grew out and that I may have to end up going short.
So I'm in the final days of deciding to cut it all off and start over agin, unless I try the alternative.
Anymore feedback would be apreciated to try to make the right decision or maybe the only decision there is?

Here's what I think, cut the mohawk to the same length as the sides, (if I read your previous post correctly you have 2-3 months growth on the sides). That gives you at least a couple of months head start to long hair again.

Or, if you're up for something new, I've always toyed with an idea about a mohawk variant.
I have no idea how they get their hair to stand straight up, but get your hair to stand up as high as you want. I was thinking 4 or so inches. Then bring it back down off the tips and over whichever side you want, to make it look like you have hair there.
I have no idea how this would look or how hard it'd be, but it always sounded cool. This probably didn't help, but I thought I'd throw that in, lol.
To me, I just can't see the point of giving up all that length
that you already have. If youy buzz it all and start over you
are going to have to go through the dreaded "awkward phase"
that you've probably heard so much about.
If you grow out the sides there will be an awkward phase until
it gets long enough to reach a ponytail holder then who will
know. And you would have the benefit of having real long hair
the whole time you are inh the awkward phase.
My advice would be to remove the word "buzz" from your vocabulary!
