Photo credit to fellow board member Rick Gray. He took this with a film camera, and I scanned it in at 300 dpi, then cropped it slightly and reduced the dimensions by 2.
A better hair shot. Same photo process.
Your hair is lovely Steve. You have one great mane. Keep it growing.

Hi Steve. Your hair is looking great. The length is really nice. Looks like you had a great trip. Hope that all is working out well in your new home.

forgot this one. It even shows a hair shadow too, which I always like. What this picture doesn't show is what the altitude was doing to me. I live at sea level, and 9600+ definitely has an impact. I posed for this and got right back in the car. Fortunately, the road drops quickly to something like 5000 ft on the other side, which is bearable. I shudder to think what getting out of the car here does to people who sit around all day and smoke.
Wow those are beautiful pictures Steve (and Rick too when you get around to this post :) )
That is awesome scenery Steve, that view of the mountain is breathtaking! You had a great day, when was this taken, today?
We had a fantastic day here as well, superbly sunny and not too hot.
California life obviously agrees with you, you look fantastic dude. Awesome!
I hope you managed to get some of Rick too he hasn't updated in a while :)
I am glad you both enjoyed your high altitude adventure.
That was like, two weeks ago.
Yes, California has definitely agreed with me. I have some pix of Rick that I took with my digicam. I know I gave them to him. Maybe he'll post some updates soon.
Beautiful scenery Steve, great pictures Rick! And I must say your hair is an inspiration. Perfect. Thanks for sharing a bit of that lovely part of the country.

Great pics! Did you get any good landscape photos from the hike?
Nice pics of you, Steve, --- and great photography, Rick!!
Not too far from Mt. Shasta is one of my favorite State Parks, called, "Burney Falls", --- beautiful year-round waterfalls (and that are at a reasonable elevation above sea level for not getting too winded when hiking to see them - lol). There are other more "secret" waterfalls in the vicinity (I at one time saved a magazine article on where they are all hidden; but I'll be damned if I can find it now - lol). Also fun to visit is Mt. Lassen National Park, --- which I've only been to in June (when there's still snow all over the ground)...
There's also some VERY cool scenic drives in the area. I can't remember all the state route #s; but the highway that follows the Klamath River from I-5 towards Eureka is drop-dead GORGEOUS, --- as is the main road between Redding and Eureka. I'm a huge fan of far Northern Calif., --- especially the Redwoods and the North Coast. And one of these days, if I ever get back into shape enough to return to serious backpacking, the Marble Mountain Wilderness, which is in the Northern part of the Trinity Alps, is Heaven on Earth!
Glad you're enjoying No. Calif., Steve... Hope to meet you soon, --- maybe even ***tomorrow*** in Golden Gate Park (lol)!!

Glad you are enjoying the beauties of Northern Calif.! I won't
try to list all my favorites as there are too many to list.
Of course I'm as prejudiced about Northern Calif. as I am about
long hair!
Hi Steve,
What a great update, your hair looks superb, and is a real inspiration to all. That is such a beautiful part of the world you live in now. I plan to visit California in the spring of 2009 as part of my cross country road trip. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to meet you at that time. I already have plans to meet Ken, Bill, Scott, and Rick, just to name a few of the guys from California, perhaps I will be able to add you to the list as well. (And I hope Rick posts an update soon!)
Keep it growing,
David
Hey, Steve. It looks like you've settled into California. Your hair looks great, as always.

Thank-you all for the replies. I'm headed out the door soon. Rick says hi, and he'll be posting updates soon.
Nice shot. I grew up in Mt. Shasta (the city, not the mountain).
Gorgeous scenery, and of course the hair looks great.
