If you're like me and like to go several weeks (3-4) without washing your hair, be sure to note which bottle you pick up when you're finally ready to wash it. It usually takes me about 10-15 minutes to wash my hair. I just spent nearly an hour washing it, and finally figured out why it was taking so long to get clean - I was using conditioner.
So, I switched to shampoo, finally cleaned it, and then went once more through with conditioner to soften it up again...
Ugh...
I did something similar once when on a trip. After washing my hair, I picked up the little bottle of what I thought was conditioner. It turned out to be hand lotion. What a strange feeling! I rinsed it out, washed again, put on my glasses and then used conditioner.

I only went one week without washing my hair...OMG My scalp was so oily that when I washed it, it smellt a bit like eggs -_- I will NEVER do that again LMAO I wash it every other day. Especially now that I'm using a leave-in conditioner with olive oil.
Hahaha. I generally go 2-3 weeks without washing my hair too. I got stuck camping outside one weekend after underestimating the distance between where I was and the hotel I was supposed to check into before a time that I missed by a longshot! I thought I could wash my hair in the lake and that all would be well, but I woke up the next day with a shell over my head in the place that my hair would normally be. Gross.
I've never mistaken conditioner for shampoo though! Or lotion for shampoo, thankfully.
