I went out early this evening, to pick up a prep kit from the pharmacy for an outpatient procedure being done by a surgeon in the short procedure unit on Thursday. Nothing major, and I don't anticipate anything going wrong. I'll be in and out the same day, but the day before I have to do a prep. :-(
Well, as I stopped at the four-way stop sign, at the exit to my apartment complex, a young man walked across the street in fron of me. He was wearing jeans and a blue short-sleeve work shirt and boots. I noticed the blonde ponytail bobbing behind him as he crossed, nice and thick, down past his shoulder blades. I actually wanted to yell a compliment to him, out of my car window.
Ocassionally, I'll see a longhair in this small town. Migrant workers passing through. Blue collar workers, construction workers, students and seminarians from the nearby Catholic affiliated university. Plus I know one longhair. He faithfully attends my Church (where he plays guitar and sings in one of the music ministries), and is currently publisher of the town paper.
I haven't seen any longhairs for a few weeks, so this was a nice treat. Plus, the guy was quite a hottie in my book, and I enjoy the ocassional eye candy. I hope he never cuts that lovely blonde tail off. :-)

Good story Carol. It's nice to know that there are longhairs sprinkled everywhere, even in Smalltown, USA. We are NOT alone! Thanks for your support!

Thank you! I'm a bit loopy from the anethesia, so I came home and crashed. I have to see the surgeon in a few weeks for a follow-up. I feel pretty good overall. I'm not going to worry unless someone gives me a reason to. Glass half-full.
