Anyone use a string, or more like a round soft 1/4 inch thick shoelace to tie hair back ?
I did it once and it does seem to be easy on the hair and it does have a different look then a rubberband/scrunchy if you want a change in look/style.
You don't tie it real tight and kill your hair.
You just softly loop it once around the hair and snuggly tie it to hold the hair in that spot.
Then with the rest of the lenght of string you can wrap it around a few more times, you don't have to tie it each time around on these loops only tie it after your last loop.
This is a good idea. I think I'll try this sometime. Definitely a different look. Thanks man!
It has a looser look to it.
The ponytail does not stick up and out like with a rubberband/scrunchy and does not have that tight pulling feeling..
You just softly gather the hair in the string with the string in a big arc like a jump rope and then tie it, not in a knot just on cross over tie like the first part of tying your shoe, wrap around repeat, wrap around repeat..so on and so on then just let the extra string lay loose like strands of hair...
I'll definately have to try it once I gain more length. The only thing that really holds my hair tied back are those hair-ties that have the non-slip stuff on them. But after I gain a few more inches, I'll definately give it a try. It seems really cool.
