Here's something I think is worth mentioning.. In light of some members cutting their long locks off to either buzzcut or just plain short, remember guys, there is the middle ground!! I'm just as guilty of this. I cut all of it off in 2000, but knowing now what I didn't realize then, some length is better than none, for me at least. Of course that's not to say that you can't be happy with it short, but for my experience, short was too short. I wish I had tried something in between. Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Bruce,
It's ironic how much your story is like mine. I had long hair most of my life, reaching its longest in early 1999, slightly longer than my current length. I cut it off, in stages, until it was short just before 2000, mainly because I took up golfing at that time. It was only after having it short for 4 years that I started growing it back in early 2004. I now regret having it short, as my hair grows more slowly, and is not as thick, as it was when I was in my 40's, but is now close to its former length after nearly 3 1/2 years of growing. I wear a ponytail on the golf course, and wished I had worn one back in 1999, but was hestitant to wear one back then. I do not plan to cut again.
Take care,
David
Your comment rings true how often do we read posts regretting the cutting of their hair and regrowing. I always suggest to people thinking about it too try and go slow, cut off two oe three inches at a time every few weeks or so. They may find a happy median and stop cutting.
