  Here is a picture of me -- old and ugly -- on my 65th birthday.
  It has been 4 and a half years since my last haircut, but my hair is no longer than it was at 3 years. I was hoping that it would get to mid back but it still doesn't come below my shoulder blades. Thanks to the encouragement of all of you on the hyperboard, I have kept it long, despite occasional urges to cut it all off (especially when I take a shower and it takes a half an hour to wash, dry, comb, and untangle it or when I'm eating lunch on a windy day and get a mouthful of hair when I take a bite of my sandwich).

    No, no, no! It's 'refined' and 'aged', not old and ugly. Refined and aged, like a good sharp cheese, or a fine wine. It's all a matter of perspective.
