  And it doesn't look so bad. I lost a bit of length at the back but it wasn't even anyways and there were lots of damaged ends. It definitely looks thicker in my opinion now, and in a year or so it'll surpass the old length anyways (well, the longest hairs of the old length). Can't wait!

    In your case I would say you did the right thing and all has come out looking very well. It is well to rid oneself of damaged ends, as they can set you up for even more troubles.
