Hello all! This is my first post. First let me say how impressed I am with the group. I plan to return daily. You give very good information. I want to contribute. I started growing my hair about nine months ago. I've discovered that if I stay to "all natural" products I have better luck against frizzing, oily-ness, and difficulty in management (FOD). I don't use any "sticky" products like sprays, or gels, or, any oily products like palmade. To help deter FOD I also stay away from heat aimed at my hair. That means cold water washing, no-heat blow drying, and no irons. I know...BURR! But, the cold also makes my hair shiny! To pull any residue from my hair I use a vinegar/honey rinse about once a week before washing (24 ounces warm water with a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of vinegar. Cool before use.) I like to use Lush bar shampoos and conditioners (http://www.lush.com). I use the bar products because they don't contain chemical preservatives like the bottled types. My favorite shampoos are "New" and "Karma-Komba". "Jungle" bar conditioner is great, but a little difficult to get into my hair. So I take bits of the bar and melt them into hot water and place in a spray bottle to use as a leave-in conditioner. I comb a light spray of this through my hair many times a day to get rid of friz without making my hair oily. Lush products also smell really great. They have product reviews on their site. Hope the information helps!

Hi,
Welcome to the board, enjoy the stay, and keep growing that hair! It's looking excellent.
Thanks for the info,

It is always great to have another long-hair grower with us, Banana. Welcome aboard! While I totally appreciate how others go the all natural product route (even the all natural "water only" method), though I have had some excellent success with many of the synthetic products. Thanks for mentioning your routine, though, as I am always willing to examine a new product when I find it and it has been so highly recommended.
The pic is gret and your hair is looking really frizz-free, shiny and happy.
All the best on your hair growing journey,
Shawn (Mr.Crow)

Hello to you. The hair looks great. You look like some sort of country music star. Of course, if you are not a fan of that genre of music, this may come across as an insult. 8-O Keep growing it, and you'll look like a metalhead. \../ Ummmm... Let's just say, you look good, and you'll only get better as it grows. :-)
