Hi Guys and gals, Bbby Bld's Gig photos thread got me thinking. Has anybody on this site been told the look like a longhaired celebrity! Bbby Bld, you do have a striking resemblance to Jimmy Page now that you are growing your hair out. When I was younger I use to get references about Bob Seger, Sergio Mendes and I still get people telling me I look like Tommy Chong. I don't see it myself. "Gregg' and "Jerry" I know you're out there. Anybody else?

I've been told that with my shades on, I look like an early Ozzy. Also, apparently, if I were to dye my hair black and perm it I'd look like Slash... (I don't see that one at all, but whatever.)

I have to admit... Fallen Angels looks like Slash from the old GNR.... Sweet..

When I was young & skinny, I was told in high school, for example, that I looked like Mick Jagger with short hair (because I have fat lips and a big nose - lol). I was also told once that I looked a bit like Gregg Allman, --- in fact, a guy here not too long ago posted a recet pic of Gregg, and I swear even I was shocked at seeing some resemblance (although I'm fatter - lol).
Nowadays, though, I think I sorta look like this strange on-line character named, "Urban Cowboy"... I wonder if he knows Ken in San Francisco?

Back in the late 80's/early-90's people would tell me I looked like Steve Clark, the late guitarist from Def Leppard. I don't have any pictures when my hair was long all around, grown out from a mullet, but here's one of the few pics I had digitized:

It's funny you asked that. I have been compared to several. One woman over at the LHC(Longhair Community, where I keep a photojournal), said that my hair and beard in my avatar gave me a passing resemblance to Tommy Chong. (I was VERY surprised to hear that!) Before I grew the beard, someone mentioned in one of my updates on the hyperboard that I looked like Iggy Pop, and another mentioned that I looked a bit like Neil Young.

Yes, I CAN see a resemblance, very cool! Even though he has short hair now, there is certainly a resemblance in facial features, and I see Electros sees the resemblance I have to him as well.

I get called "Willie Nelson" a lot. This especially happened before I grew my beard out, as shown above. One year we walked down to Castro Halloween and about two dozen people thought I had come in costume as Willie Nelson. I had not gone down there in costume at all; I was just there as "myself".
And there was the time that we went to buy a Christmas tree. The three twenty-something guys running the lot were so taken aback by how much I "looked like Willie" that they could hardly concentrate on selling us a tree!

I get told that I look like either of them a lot. When I was younger I got told I looked like River Phoenix but that was probably partly due to my first name being River.
I've also been told I look like Ethan Hawke by several people but he never really had long hair.

God yes, a couple friends of mine are convinced I look like Jon Bon Jovi. They even made this picture for comparitive purposes.

Several times in the last few years I've had people compare me to one of the Doobie Brothers, possibly Michael McDonald, but the name didn't mean much to me. It's just not a band I'm familiar with. I don't really know what their music even sounds like. I had a look at one pic of Mike McDonald, and I don't think I look that much like him.
BTW, David N does look like John Mayall, although the only pics I've seen of the latter were taken when he was young.
