  Hi again,

  Hey, I'm having difficulty remembering when I actually started growing my hair. I thought it was about 9 months ago. However I found a picture of myself from when I "thought" I started growing my hair that was dated in January of 2006. I was surprised because that added an entire year to my growth time. I may have, forgetfully, had a cut since 01/06. Can you make an estimate, from my picture, as to the amount of time it took it to get to this length? I really want to have a good start time.

    Looks to be about 9 months. This was me @ 11 months.

    Welcome, my newcomer brother/friend,
    Good question, that. Wehyull, LAST time that I got my hair chopped wuzz, hmn, oh, say, approximately LAST September, that'd be '06, a whole year past, and let's jus' say twas "office length", for lack of a better nomenclature. Yugh. So, this's me now, after a year's growth. Duzz THIS put things into perspective for ya? Basic biology dictates hair usually grows at a rate of, hmn, about half an inch per month. Some people's hair grows slower, or, at least their rate of growth APPEARS to be slower, breakages and stuff, whereas other's is faster than that. BTW, you're making gallant headway, beautiful, really I'd say, what with your thickness, lustrous colour, and waviness. Keep it goin' and growin'! There's no stoppin' ya now!

        Yes, since you've remembered by lineage, please, you and THEE knowledgeable Professor Strat go to this webpage, well-versed brewer's thatcha both be. Way at the bottom's a mead recipe, perfect for Halloween! IT'S CALLED BATWING BLOOD MEAD! It's s'posed to resemble the sanguine liquid indistinguishably. I'd've given it to yas several months earlier, considering the time in which it takes to prepare. Oh well, next year.

        The rest of the site there ain't too shoddy, either. Everyone go poke around. Lotsa neat-o info. I STIL cain't B'LIEEEVE my hair's that long from a year's growth. Well, hey, my family . . .

    Hi Banana,

    The picture looks to be around a year's worth of growth, depending on how long your hair was when you first started to grow it. It looks great, by the way, the waves, thickness, and colour are all outstanding, and I hope you grow it a lot longer!

    Welcome to the board Banana! I really like the color and wave of the picture here. You should post a picture that shows off your current length as that must be quite fantastic :)
