hey fellas, i dont know if some of you remember me but i made a thread a while ago about the Kilmister/Hetfield bar mustache look... well now that i have that look i also have a new dilema
while i have grown it to a reasonable length, i havnt quite figured out a way to trim it without cutting a majority of it all off. i want the hair to be only 1cm long, but its about an inch long.
how do i go about trimming it to the desireg length without taking it all away?
This is probably going to be trial and error. Hopefully, not too much error will be involved.

I use an electric trimmer with a guard on it on my beard. Usually they come with a bunch of different guards depending on how long you want the resulting hair to be. An old friend of mine does his whole head and beard with one setting.

I use scissors and a fine-toothed, plastic pocket comb. Trim less than you think you want off, at first so you have wiggle room to make it even, otherwise you'll surely go shorter than you intended...That's the 'error part' of the trial and error.
