I'm very happy with this one! Taken yesterday, 9/16/07, after playing a concert. It seems formality and long hair mixes well after all!
Gandharva
A truly outstanding "Art photo." Suberb great long hair no question, and a Harpischord!
A photo to cherish forever.
Hi, Justin. Yes, it is an "art photo". The photographer took several as test shots for some future promo work. He's very talented. For fun, this was taken in a private home and just in front of my harpsichord is an authentic 18th-century Chinese opium bed which I found just as interesting as the music I played!
Thanks for responding...be well! Gandharva
Gandharva, And pray tell what music did you perform?
The harpsicord brings forth allusions to Domenico Scarlatti
and those prior to Pachelbel! 16th Century?
peace, jonalbear
Hello, jonalbear! I played music by Johann Sebastian Bach, and Georg Friedric Handel. Then the harpsichord became the "continuo" voice in Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto for two Violins and Chamber Orchestra. Like the opium bed, all the music is from the 18th-century. Domenico Scarlatti is 18th-century as well, contemporary with Bach and Handel. All three were born the same year: 1685. The bed and the music...an interesting juxtaposition of..."high culture"!
Gandharva, Only two centuries off! Thanks for the clarification!

How did you ever come across such a fascinating instrument ??
I restore antique pianos and occasionally come across some with interesting histories.
Walter White Tail
....and Oh yes, your hair is certainly on par with the classic instrument.....
Thank you, nic! You are sweet as always. And very nice to hear from you, too! All the best, Gandharva.
Hi Gandharva,
What a wonderful photo, and I agree, long hair and the fine arts DO go well together. Your healthy curls look fabulous, and are thick and healthy. Be sure to keep it growing!
All the best,
David
Looks great actually.I think Mozart was a long hair as well as most of the early composers.
Well, they DO call it "longhaired music"! And such a fine specimen of a longhair we have pictured to make it!
Bill
So sez ZZ Top! You look great, as does the vintage harpsichord.
Carol
I agree formality and longhair do mix quite well. I trust the concert went well?
Kevin
Very cool!
I play piano also, classically. It's nice to meet fellow long hair pianist.
