Can leaving a part in your hair create hair loss?

  I was told that if you never change the way your hair is parted (which for most is down the middle) then you can lose hair in that area. Is any of this true or just crap?

    I have had mine parted in the middle most of my life and have NO receding at all. Hair loss is most often genetic.

    Not that I'm aware of. Probably just a old wifes tale or something like that. So I'm calling crap on that for now.
