Hello my aspiring inkee, Walter. Rather than produce a graphic design myself as the "flash" for your looked-forward-to ink, may I please direct you to one helluvan inker from NYC? He's an icon in the world of ink, truly. He catapulted to fame (and, I daresay, fortune!) some years back by rendering historical masterworks from the annals of art history as people's skin art! Yeesh. I have GOTTA go to him, too.
Walter, and ladies and gentlemen of the board, for your delectation, may I introduce to you the attached online gallery of Mr. Anil Gupta the Great . . .
Yours in inked AND longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan
P.S. ~ Glad t'hear yer minor shaping appointment wuzz conducive to enhancing your look, not detracting from yer efforts.
The online skin art gallery of Anil Gupta, NYC.
. . . the magnificent, the spectacular, the inimitable Anil
Gupta's online gallery. Please everyone, go have a look to see
what this world class master of tattooing hath wrought.
Peruse, marvel, dream,
Quenyan
Amazing artwork! I really like the 3D stuff.

Hey Quenyan ...
This dude rocks. His work is just way classy and the detail! Do you have tatoos by him?? He has to be one of the most gifted artists I've ever seen ....
Tristan
Hey Tristan bruh, what is UP, dude?
Mine were done by a newbie at the time, Sue Duffy, whose business I named for her, Apocalypse Tattoo. It's of the Lamb of the Apocalypse, you know, you know, from Revelation 5:6. We know exactly Who that Is, don't we? The pic's from last year when I had no beard and not yet long enough hair to qualify here.
I wish that I'd've had Mr. Gupta do it. Most of all the colour has lifted and the lines faded. Oh well. BTW, he duzzint do touch-ups, just his own stuff. And I must concur with ya, Tristan, his work's truly unreal.
Last I heard the waiting list is almost three years long! Yeesh! High time to sign up people!
Yours in inked and longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan
Hi Quenyan ...
I wonder why Gupta doesn't do touch-ups; he's got the talent. Maybe because he's a perfectionist and there might not be a way to re-create it just the way he wants ... just a thought.
I have to admit the book of Revelation is a hard read. Its one of those books that is most difficult to wrap my brain around. From what I gather ... there are different views on the approach to the book.. Futurist, Historicist, Idealist.. and while bearing in mind John abandoned on Patmos must have been worn out from the Roman empire is just beyond my comprehension. Oh .. to only have been there just for awhile..
Anyway, how is it, if you don't mind my enquirement; that you were raised one way; and now stand where you are today?
I whole-heartedly promise to keep my over zealousness to a minimum this time... :(
Blessings...
Tristan
oh... Almost forgot... Did I count seven total eyes on your tatoo?
As Jim Carey's "The Mask" character would've said in this instance, "All righty then!", that green face of his, the mask of Loki wuzz it? Loki, the Norse god responsible for the fall of the Aesir, bringer of practical jokes (some practical joke, that!), aaaaand, yet another way to reinterpret the Book of Saint John the Revelator is, wait for it, wait for it -gasp!-, an alchemical text! After all, the gold that the three Magi had brought to the Divine Child wuzz mono-atomic gold.
Yes, how exactly IS it that yadda, yadda, yadda? Another good query positted to the ever-restless, all-consuming mind of the Elf Guy by my Georgian friend. Wehyull, Pastor, "As above, so below!", just as in the above-mentioned subj. heading; Salem Kirban, a former Muslim, who saw the Light, started the Megiddo Mission Ministry, which I followed right aound the same time of my Anglican confirmation. Heavily into Classical music then, too, what w/ J.S. Bach the fastest way to spiral into the Promised Land, "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and all that. But, eh, something else beckoned in my Merovingian genochromatophores.
This is a wonderful time to be alive, Tristan, and a Catholic friend jus' turned me onto a final battle, sort of, Russian film, "Night Watch", directed by Ruskie talent Timur Bekmambetov from three years past. Originally intended as a t.v. mini-series, it has seen lotsa praise nowadays as a d.v.d. fave of those of us who go IN for these apocalyptic tales, ya know, "Left Behind" and all that. I'm sure ya can order it at Borders, if ya don't find it in their bins.
You ROCK, dude. and jus' remember, when gettin' inked, after a little while the body's own endorphins kick in, producing its own pain-killers. It's a horrible trial at first, but, eh, hey, I had to do that Patmos thing. Tell an eleven-year-old NOT to delve into the Book of Rev. and you're gonna get the exact opposite response ( *wry grin*) And, for the record, that ink's almost fifteen years old now.
Happy inking and long live long hair!
Quenyan ({*:-)}
P.S. ~ Yes, all the Lamb's orbits are there; start at the mouth line, seventh at the crown. Best reg(u)ards always!
Some of Neal Adams' Tarzan art might fit with what you're looking for.
Oi Walter!
I can't wait to see your updated pictures. It has been so long since you made an update. Sorry for not replying in Portuguese, but I have had to devote myself to Latin lately.
For tattoo ideas, let's see...
I've seem lots of cool images from a book about Early Italian art. Something like a picture of Hercules or Mars would be cool. I'll try to find you something.
OK, Hope all is well in Sao Paulo!

Check out the artwork for Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell CD's. Not sure off the top of my head who the artist is but there are a lot of longhaired guys vaguely resembling a cross between fantasy heroes, rock gods, and bikers. Not sure exactly if this is the kind of stuff you are looking for but perhaps your artist might be able to emulate the style. Hopefully connected to the message is the cover art to BooH III. That shows the style the best out of the three covers...but the insides have good pictures too.
