Just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who replied to my post concerning my hair doubts. Its helped make me look in the mirror and remember how far I've come (as corny as that sounds!)
But you are absolutely right, I would feel no happier with shorter hair and my hair is part of my idenity and persona.
Any way, enough self-pitying, just thought I'd share a few update pics. Let me know what you think and remember be gentle! I'm still fragile. Lol.
Take care Troy
I am glad that you are continuing to grow out your hair since you have put in so much time already on it. Did you talk about growing it with your girlfriend and/or family? I was just wondering if talking about it with other people had any part in your decision or if you just decided to go ahead with growing and too bad for everyone else :)
The half tail and this pic look great Troy, I hope the attitudes of other people about your hair improve. People here say that the longer you continue to grow it out, then other people know you will not be deterred and stop trying to change you. Looks like you are well on your way!
Hi Troy! I'm glad you decided to stick with the longer hair because that's what truly suits you the best:)
Also, cool half tail!
Take care and keep it growin!
Simon
Troy,
You truly are one who is made for long hair. You look spectacular! I don't think you'd have a better look with short. Keep up the positive thoughts. You're going to look great with even longer hair.

Hi Troy,
Your hair is absolutely fabuolous, it is a genuine blessing to have hair as straight as yours. Be sure to keep it growing, to wasit length or longer!
All the best,
David
Troy,
We're all blessed to be able to grow great looking hair, and you are certainly no exception. Even though I think everyone would look great with long hair, I can honestly say it perfectly suits you. I'm sure you'll find a way around your personal issues, and good luck in your future endeavors.
Peace,
Ryan
Glad you decided to stick with it, Troy. Best choice you could make. Your hair is looking fantastic (and that kitty is still as cute as ever)! Take care and keep it growing. =)

Hi Troy you and kitty look fabulous!!I'm glad to hear you will be continuing to grow out your hair as it would be such a shame to cut it at this point.I too feel long hair goes so well with your face and body.Anyone who tells you otherwise is just jealous that they don't look as cool as you do so they just want to discourage your efforts.Even my cat Opal likes your beautiful hair!Mark
Hey Mark,
I was curious how Opal was, she certainly looks fabulous! And she has impeccable taste in websites :) Quite a beauty she is!
Not so bad at all yourself Mark. Love the furry-purry too.
Jonathan
Thanks for the compliments Jonathan of both Opal and myself:)Mark
Hey Troy. Glad to hear that you got over your self doubts about your hair because it really looks great. Whatever you are doing in your workouts is really working as you look bigger in these recent photos. I hope that your girlfriend becomes more supportive.
Del
Troy,
Your hair looks awesome man! You are big and buff as hell too! Besides WWE Triple H I thought I was the only musclehead with long hair. In fact you kinda look like Triple H! Man if your girl has that much of problem with your hair I am sure you will have no problem finding another girl! Looking good bro! Do not cut! Keep pumping the iron as well!
Troy ..
Hey man ... the hair continues to look great. I'm glad you're sticking with it as it only gets better and better. I hope the girlfriend will cut you a bit of slack..
In any case ... keep it growin and flowin.. Oh .. btw it looks like your workout routine continues to give you great success. Keep it up...
Tristan
Troy, you have excellent hair. The longer it gets the better it looks. You should be able to get all of it into a ponytail quite soon. You should consider growing it to your waist. If you decide to go really long you will need be sure to protect your hair during workouts. (Really long hair can get caught between a pulley and a cable.)
Keep it growing.
Scott
First off, I'm glad that you've overcome your doubts.
Second of all, i've thought this for a long time, but now I just have to come out and say it...IMO you GREATLY resemble Steve Borden i.e. Sting, i.e. a very famous and influential Professional Wrestler (who actually owns the trademark to the name and *allows* Sting the singer to use the name hehe).
I'm trying to distact myself as much as possible from my 6000 word essay, so I took the time to make a little collage for you, so you can see what I mean.
Do you agree?
Well? :)
K, that's it, I'm done, back to the essay!
I totally agree with you. He really does look alot like Sting.
Just some FYI Trivia for you though. Steve Borden AKA Sting, doesn't actualy own the rights to the name. That one goes to Gordon Sumner AKA Sting. Steven Border started wrestling in '85 as "Flash Borden" as part of a group called Power Team USA. He and a buddy hen started their own group in '87 called "Blade Runners" He changed his name to Balde Runner Sting, and his pal was Blade Runner Rock (later Ultimate Warior) In any case, Gordon Sumner has been officaly using the name Sting since his days with The Police, starting in '77. However he actualy got the nickname years before. Sting has stated that he gained his nickname while with the Phoenix Jazzmen. He once performed wearing a black and yellow jersey with hooped stripes that bandleader Gordon Solomon had noted made him look like a bumblebee. Either way, with the Jazzmen or the Police, He has been using the name Sting, since '77, about 10 years before Steve Borden. Love 'em both though. Both absolutley fantastic at what they do.
Hope I didn't come off as a total prick by saying all that. Ah well, a bit late now. lol
No worries, you're very far from being a 'prick'. I don't mind hearing other viewpoints and accepting when I'm wrong, although...in this case I don't think that I am.
First of all to get the basic bit out of the way, I already knew all the info you mentioned in your post. Obviously being a fan of Steve Borden and Gordon Sumner, I knew when each appeared on the scene. Although of course you couldn't know that, as I never mentioned it before, so thanks for the info :)
Secondly, I don't know where I heard it, but I think someone told me many years ago, around 1997 or say that Sting the Wrestler owned the trademark. nowadays as a History and Psychology major I would never take such words as factual, but i guess I did in this case as I was told that bit of 'trivia' as a kid, and so when I was very impressionable and it stuck.
Sooooo.....I was surprised by your post that Gordon Sumner owned the trademark, and so i did a little internet search. Not the best of research I admit, but it's something. What do you think? (and if you have any evidence to back up your contention please share it with me as I'd love to know the truth on this!)
