I've been visiting this site for quite a while now and i have finally decided to post. Im 17 and am growing my hair out. Its already reached about mouth level now and my goal is for shoulder length hair. Ive been looking for people to talk to for advice about growing my hair, and i guess this is the write place for me to go. lol
Welcome. Sounds like you want to get to where I am now...which shows that it is definitely achievable within a relatively short period of time. Hair should grow about an inch every two months so figure out the distance and do the math to get the average time to get there.
Biggest advice is to not cut your hair at all. Any trim or snip will just be that much further you need to grow your hair.
Good luck and feel free to ask questions.
Hi Miller,
Welcome to the board. This place is full of cool and helpful long haired people. If you have any questions feel free to ask us and I'm sure someone will help you out.
Welcome aboard
Neil
Welcome Miller. Good to have you here.

welcome.
Welcome Miller and glad that you found us. The advice of Antesse below is like the foundation of the whole growing out process. Don't be fooled into getting a hair cut or thinking things have to be thinned-out.
If you look in the "Links" section at the top of the main page I would highly suggest you read the 4 part thesis written by Bill Choisser. It is like having a long hair Bible to refer to and explains a whole lot of things. For starters you couldn't do better.
Best of luck to you and again welcome.
Welcome Miller, this is a great place to hang out with a great bunch of guys (and gals). Questions asked and answered or maybe just some small talk. All good!
