Hey all,
Still enjoying my long curls while I still can. I will be going to a headbanger's ball put on by some friends this weekend. I have never posted pics of my hair and at this point in time I do not have the resources to do such a thing. I will tell you I do have somewhat tight curly hair very much like rocker Slash of Guns and Roses. In fact many people my age say I have a "Slash fro." I was wondering if anybody here had any knowledge of what I can put on my hair to tame the the curls that got a little worse after my layered haircut so it still stays somewhat bouncy and sleek looking cause I know I will want to do some hard headbanging (dancing) at the Metal Ball I was invited too! What will work best on my type of hair? Does anyone know?
Not quite sure what you can do; I have straight hair. It sounds like your hair is just naturally too curly. Without making an effort to de-curl your hair you might not be able to change it much. Hope someone with curl experience might come along to help though...
Whatever the case, have fun headbanging. And I am sure no one will criticize you for not having the right hair as long as you have the spirit and the moves down.
You might look into cornrow braids for the night. Perhaps a friend could help you out with this.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but I just found that a little coconut oil based leave in conditioner with some waxed gel has done the trick for me! Still some curl but it moves and looks healthy! So I can headbang all night long! Slash has all kinds of money to straighten his hair or do whatever with it! He never did and neither do I! I am going to take more pride in my curls and just go with the genes the good Lord blessed me with!
