Hello board, something crossed my mind the other day, and I was curious about it.
How many people here have experienced a significant change in their hair type over their lifespan?
I have heard of a number of folks who start out with one type of hair, and then usually around onset of adolescence their hair type changes completely. Now, this is one scenario that isn't uncommon, but what about during other age periods?
I would be interested to hear about any cases witnessed by the MLHH members, not for any particular reason, just to satisfy my curiosity.
Peace,
Ryan
I know someone who had blond hair when he was younger but he's now 24 and his hair turned dark brown, naturally.
I've never heard of someone's hair type changing, though.
I had rail-straight hair all through my life until I reached adult-age. Now it's showing natural curl, mostly in the back. Also, when I was a kid my hair was VERY blonde (Banana colored - thus my childhood nickname was Banana). Now it's more of a dark honey blonde with strange white streaks (LOL!).

Well, When i was a child, I would say up until the age of six, I had very tightly curled Dirty-Blonde hair. As I got older, It darkened and the curls relaxed. I always thought I had wavy hair up until now.
My hair was a light, yellow blond when I was under the age of eight or so. It then got darker and darker. Now that it's longer, it seems lighter with more red, in addition to the white hairs coming in steadily. It's always been curly though though I didn't know it all the years I kept it short.
When I was very young up to the age of 6 or so, my mum let my hair grow long. It was straight and mid brown, for years I had it short, now 27, it's curly with the odd light streak! You'd think it would remain the same, but there you go...
I am not sure of hair-type changing, but the colours sure have through the years.
At my youngest for the 1st couple of years it was white. Later it darkened slightly to a very light tan. By 6th grade it was a slight to medium brown. By the end of HS it was an average brown. Now, tons of years later it is very dark brown and does have some grey mixed in...........and yet somehow the grey is not noticable.
My hair was jet black like an oriental person. Over the past 4 years it has gotten lighter and now it's dark brown.
Judging from family pictures, my hair was super curly until I was 4 years old, and then it got really straight for a while. Over the past 8 years or so it has become increasingly wavy.
I know a guy who was a redhead and then his hair turned black when he was a teenager.
