Heey all you guys & gals! Finally i've passed 6 months now! Time has passed by so quickly it almost feels like it's only been one or two months since i started to regrow my hair again:)
Now i'm finally starting to feel a lil bit like a longhair, it's flying in the wind, touching my neck when i don't have any shirt on and so on, and i'm really enjoying my journey.
Anyway, here's the pics:
I'm posting two front pics, i think i will choose one of them as my new avatar:)
Damn, everytime i wash my hair i get those famous wings but they always settle down about a day after:)
My bangs, they get longer when i stretch them
Side, the hair here usually covers my whole ear but now that it's newly washed it gets poofy and flips up, probably tomorrow it will lay down better
The back, here it grows like crazy, hehe:D, i wonder how long before it reaches my shoulders
And yeah, this is something that's been bugging me, here on the right side the hair looks thinner and more frizzy than on the left side, it's more uneven/shorter and flips up, i dunno if i should just let it grow here and it will even out by itself
Well well, i guess that was it for this time, thanks everyone here for all the support you've given me and take care!
Simon
Great update for the 1st 6 months and now your hair is really going to start to take off. It looks to be ideal hair you will have to work with.
As for the filps and all, this happens to everybody when growing out their hair. Best thing to do really is just ignor it and and let it be on the wild side. It WILL tame itself when long enough.
Best of luck to you on your journey. You are headed towards a magnicicent mane!
No offense, but how come your bangs are growing slowly? Like, when I reached 6 months it could already touch the bottom of my nose without me having to pull.
Usually the bangs grow more slowly than the rest. Mine do.
Banana
The logical reason to that is because i had them trimmed just to even them out a bit a few months ago, but how much did you start out with?
Not with a buzzcut. I started out with bangs a few inches above my eyebrows.
Banana: Yeah, a lot of people say that but from my experience, the back and the bangs grow ridiculously fast. Faster than the top and sides.
Thanks Justin! These 6 months have passed by alot faster than i first had imagined, here's a few more years to come:)
Simon
Thanks Walter! And good luck on your hairgrowing journey as well, you've got great hair:)
Simon
Looks great. You're going to look awesome with long hair.
Banana
Hey simpa, the time since your last update seems like 5 minutes ago.
The back of your is looking very long. Even though your a month ahead of me, my bangs seem to be in exactly the same position as yours when i stretch them, though i might have a lower forhead.
Good luck
David
Yeah i know, the time is passing by alot quicker than i first thought when i started to regrow:)
Simon
Hey Simon,
I thought it took patience to grow my hair out one time, I can't imagine the patience to have to do it more than once :)
Well you're getting there! Keep the faith lol
I actually like the side pic for an avatar, we don't have nearly enough profile shots and it looks cool all around, IMO.
Looking good Simon!
Thanks Chris! Well yeah i guess i must be a very patient guy, hehe:D
Actually it feels like this time around i'm enjoying it much more considering it's my own natural color that's growing out and not a dye.
And as for that side pic as an avatar, it's not a bad idea actually, either that or i'll take a new pic tomorrow when my hair is more straighter and not so poofy:)
Simon
Cool hair, man! I really admire your patience. I probably could never have tried to grow my hair twice long, since I have very little patience for things like that. Anyway, the hair looks awesome, and I can't wait to see it in future updates. Keep it growing, man! :)
Thx Brandon! I'm really enjoying the journey this time around, i think the wrong thing i did last time when i was growing it out was that i had too much trims early on, it was kinda stuck in an awkward stage and then i dyed it and totally ruined it, but now i'm not the least tempted to color it, and probably never will be.
Lookin forward to your future progress as well!
Simon
Half a year already? Man... But your progress is certainly something to be proud of, Simon. Those wings can get annoying, but I say embrace them, as they are a sign of wanting long hair. Hope all is going well for you in the north of Sweden. Take care! =)
-James
Thanks for your comments James! 6 months have really passed by quickly, i wonder what my next milestone will be:)
And it's great that i'm growing it out now because i'm still studying at school for about a year more, so i don't have to worry about getting it cut because of a work.
Hope everything is well with you too and seeya around:)
Simon
Yay for milestones! Congrats on making it to six months, Simon. Your hair looks great, and I'm really happy you decided to stick with your natural color. Embrace the awkward stage!

i don't know how, but i always miss replying to your posts. i feel like i'm slighting you, but it certainly isn't intentional. perhaps you need a bigger and more noticeable name... like elephant. right now i'm going to play catch up.
1. i can't believe you made your own chainmail. the time and patience involved in that would make me kill myself - so you get 500 super bonus points.
2. your hair is looking fabulous! it frames your face beautifully, and the half pony suits you well. i have to say there is a bit of jealousy on my end that you get the lovely natural wave. (trade you!)
3. congratulations on figuring out how to get your new hairpiece to stay in! if it wasn't for cheating here and there, no one would make it through the awkward stages. (heck, i have hair to my butt and i still use 'creative styling' to do some things.) so keep up the good work.
ok... now to go and ignore your next few posts. :)
peace,
nic
No worries, Nic!
Thanks! I haven't made a second shirt though...
You are welcome to the waves on humid days, but I get them back during the nice weather. :-)
"Creative styling." I like how that sounds, hehehe.
Thanks, Nic. It's nice to here from my longhaired sister!
Mouse
Thanks Mouse! I wonder what my next milestone will be, perhaps a mini tail or halftail, can't wait til i get there:)
Take care!
Simon
I did'nt get a chance to comment on your last update with the hair accessory. Fabtastic!! And remember, there is no such thing as cheating, only ingenuity!
Bruce
Thanks, Bruce! I suppose there is only ingenuity...at least when it comes to hair. :-)

Hi Simon,
I have been eagerly awaiting an update from you, and was delighted to see one today. Your hair is coming along VERY well indeed, it will be long enough to cover your ears in another month or so, yet another goal fulfilled. It is looking SO much healthier with your natural blonde colour. You are well on your way to a fabulous mane, and I hope you keep growing it for a LONG time, as the best is yet to come.
Take care,
David
Thanks David! Your words are always so nice and filled with joy, ever since you joined here last year you probably haven't missed a single one of my posts:)
And now i've passed half a year already, and in just 6 months more a whole year have passed, can't wait till i get there!
I'm eagerly awaiting you update as well.
Take care my friend!
Hi Simon,
Thank you for your kind words and for asking about my update. I plan a big one tomorrow, to celebrate one year since I found the hyperboard, and 41 months of growing. Stay tuned!
Take care,
David
lookin' good! kudos to you for having the patience to go thru all of this hassle again. as far as your 'uneveness' goes, don't worry about it. as it gets longer you won't even notice it. when i get my hair cut (every other year), the hair on the right side of my head is over an inch longer than the hair on the left. no one has ever noticed - even my stylist is surprised when he starts to cut.
peace,
nic
Thanks Nic! They call me the patient guy, lol:D
Anyway, lookin forward to some pics from you as well when you do get them up:)
Cheers!
Simon
Hey Simon! Whats up man? Your hair is looking great this time around! The natural color is just magnificent. You are making very good progress and your hair is looking healthier than ever. Pretty soon, You'll be knee deep into the awkward phase! I'm really glad that you decided to grow your hair again Simon. Good luck and hang in there man.
!Chris
Nice milestone there. It's even more awesome when it touches your shoulder, and then your back. Great progress there, patience and persistence are paying off.
Carol
Thanks Carol! Hope to see some pics of you as well when the time comes:)
Simon
Hi Simon, lookin' good! As everyone has suggested your natural color really does suit you well. And don't worry about wings and uneveness at this point, I think most of us had the same deal going. It all takes care of itself as your hair grows. When my hair was a bit longer than your's I had the Marlo Thomas dippy do thing happening. I didn't think it ever would go away! But it did, and I'm glad I didn't submit to a trim to take care of it. So continue doing what your doing and you will be rewarded!
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Simon...
Whats up man? How are things going? It's hard to believe you're already at 6 months. You're doing a fine job my friend. Never mind the wings ... who cares.. you're a long hair inside; just let it come out! Oh, if I didn't mention before .. your natural hair color just totally rocks.. NO BLEACH or DYE! or scissors (as if I had to say that) :)
Hey ... remember to
Be Blessed..
Tristan
Hey Tristan! Thanks for commenting:) these 6 months have truly passed by quickly, it feels almost like yesteday i was cutting it, lol:D
Keep up the good work and lookin forward to your future progress as well!
Simon
Hi Simon,
Your hair is looking sigificantly longer and I can see your
getting into the worst part of the awkward stage. You have my sympathy but you seem to be dealing with it well. As for the one side being a bit frizzy and seemingly not the same length, I don't think it's that bad and I would leave it for now.
Soon winter will be here and you'll have an excuse to wear caps and
whatever on your head. You could do like Americans and wear knit stocking caps all the time inside and outside....LOL
Take care
Kevin
Thanks dude! Winter will soon be here, we had the first snow a couple of weeks ago, and it's not even october yet, so knit stocknig caps will really come in handy:)
Keep up the great growth as well and take care!
Simon
Hey Simon, great to see you are hanging in there and just letting it grow. And it really is growing well too, thats some nice length for six months - just think six more months it wil be a year and think how fantastic it will be then. Its also looking very healthy and natural.
Congratulations and keep it up!!
Regards Dave
Thx Dave! I'm really lookin forward to my 1 year update, as that will be a big milestone for me:D
Take care and keep your hair growin as well!
Simon
Hi Simon! You have made some great progress in just 6 months, you are correct, it seems like a short time ago that you started re-growing. Looking good there...keep it up. You hair does seem to grow especially fast in the back...good news!
Cheers to you!
Max L.
Heey all you guys & gals! Finally i've passed 6 months now! Time has passed by so quickly it almost feels like it's only been one or two months since i started to regrow my hair again:)
