After being bored today, which resulted in playing with my hair, I decided to try a aide part, since I never had before. I thought it would look stupid, but I actually kind of like it. Putting it into a ponytail like this feels a lot less stressful than it did when I put it into a center part or pulled my hair straight back. Also, in my opinion, it makes my hair look longer in the front, and not as uneven from growing straight from a short cut.
Anyway, what do you think of side parts general. I also took a picture of what it looks like on me, and I'll probably wear it like this tomorrow (another one with the center part). Anyway, is the side part and yay or not so much yay?
The side part looks OK if you prefer that although I think the scentre part suits you (and most others) better.
i happen to be a big fan of side parts in general. you are no exception. i think it looks really nice on you. rock it!
peace,
nic
Brandon, I think the side part looks very good on you, and you are right about it making the hair in the front look longer. I notice from a lot of your other updates that people agree you have a very good face to go with your hair type - you wear out the 'hair flips' just fine, and that's what people are usually complaining about in the awkward stage! I think the side part will continue to work for you, but I'm not sure if it'll last forever.
I took these pictures 6 weeks ago when I was experimenting with side parts too. I'd never given it a shot before then, and I _hated_ it on myself. I thought it looked ridiculous because my hair was too long, but maybe I made the part too far to the side. I do agree with one thing though - it does work better in a ponytail! I thought it made for a nice elegant style. I have a good hairline for it, in any case.
Hey I think you look great with a side part and the hair loose. I don't think it is ridiculous at all. People are always hardest on themselves :)
Looks great either way, i'm also experimenting right now wether to wear a side or middle part, always fun to try new stuff:)
Simon
Hey Brandon you look great that way too, I really like that style. I say go for it dude, give it a few days and see how it really works in the real world (as far as staying out of your face and all)
Bt it certain looks cool so don't let that worry stop you. I did a similar post way back in April on side parts and asked for opinions. Here's what I looked like with one.
Thanks! It certainly feels more comfortable for me, especially when I wear it in a side part pony-tail. It doesn't scrunch up or really pull at my hair like the side-part and the pulled back pony-tail did. And I can wear it a lot looser than I did the other ones. And since I have a relatively sensitive scalp, that's a good thing. Also, the side part on you looks incredible. I dig the look, man. And on a completely random side-note, you look like a friend I have in the face. Not to mention he had long hair at one point. :P
Anyway, keep it growing! :)
Chris, Your hair looks very nice with a side part. Very distinctive!
peace, jonalbear
I like it and to my eyes it looks great! (Sometimes when being bored we can come up with some very interesting ideas.)
In any event, I am looking at the whole picture in somewhat an artistic sense. For you it works. And, just a little bit different always makes having long hair even more fun.
I say if it pleases you, that is what is most important. If so, go for it!
I'm not exactly sure how to explain why, but the side part gives you a much more masculine look. That's my opinion anyway. Maybe the way it shows of more of your face, i don't know. But I vote for the side part.
Hi Brandon,
I think your hair looks fabulous either way, it is so thick and healthy. The side part is a great alternative whenever you feel like a change from the traditional middle part. In fact, I wore a side part for most of my life, and only switched to a middle part last winter. In fact, it is still slightly off centre.
Keep it growing,
David
Hey Brandon. In my honest opinion, The side part looks very well on you. In fact, Both the center and side part look extremely well on you.
I don't think it looks stupid at all. It works well for you. I part mine to the side, sometimes I like use a barrette to hold it back to the side. But often it's tucked behind my ears, when I need it out-of-the-way. I even tail and braid with a side part.

It looks great either way Brandon. I used to part in the middle, back in the 90's, but now I part to the side. I like it better for a number of reasons, but mostly I think I look better that way. Of course it has crept up a bit so that it's somewhere between side and middle and that's something you might try.

Brandon ...
I like the side part a bit better than the center personally. Either way though ... your hair is looking great. Keep up the progress man..
Tristan
Brandon I think you look better with a center part, but it's what you want that counts...hair looks great!!
For me, definetly a side part. It's much easier to do because it's the way my hair is naturally when I comb it (I guess just from habit). To do a center part, I actually have to put effort into parting my hair, and then keeping it that way. I tend to finger comb my hair during the day, so it would look a lot worse at the end of the day if it were center parted as the part would come undone.
The downside is that some of the hair from the bangs sticks out sometimes.

Yes, it looks good but, in my opinion, the centre part looks slightly better. Probably drawing it back more (not hard back) would suit you well. Experiment and enjoy a really good head of hair.

your side part gets my vote
In my humble opinion the centre part looks better but that's not to say the side part looks bad it's fine I just like the centre one better.
Kevin
It looks good either way, but I have preference for the center part. Great head of hair either way.
Hi Brandon, I often do the side part thing as my hair naturally wants to hang that way, and I like it, it gives more shape than the middle part, and I think it works for you aswell.
Cheers Dave
