I learned to set my hair by watching my girlfriend and reading some hair magazines. At first it is a little tricky, but a little practice will help. I find it easy to do mine but have a harder time doing my girlfriends I know Velcro Rollers are a little easier but they are not to good for the hair and tangle easy. I like magnetic rollers the best. I enjoy the rollers in my hair and also the results after I take them out. A couple times a year I like to go to the salon and have my hair set. I like to see women in rollers, and try to pick a salon that does a lot of roller sets. I find it a bit stressful to walk in and ask to have my hair set in rollers, however most of the time the stylists does not blick a eye. I enjoy someone setting my hair, but I enjoy the privacy of my home.Everyone talks about wrapping their set which is fine, however I enjoy my hair set in rollers without anything over them. I do not have any problem sleeping in rollers.
I accidentally found another way to make my normally straight hair wavy:
After taking a shower, dry the hair with a towel. Braid the hair into three-strand braids while it is still damp. Let the braids dry for a few hours. Undo the braids and the hair will probably look wavy. If you don't like the results, washing the hair again will return it back to normal.
