Here is the lastest picture of myself. My hair was half-damp when I took it.
I wash it every other day and usually put it into a ponytail when it is still damp...it this bad?
Also, should I be brushing it? I just use a detangler wide tooth comb in the shower and out.

Hey man, how many years were you growing your hair? Your hair looks awesome!!! My goal is to grow my hair the same length as yours. Great job man.
Thanks for the compliment! I've been growing my hair to achieve this length for about 18 months from a haircut where my hair was sort of a mullet touching my collar.
I did have 4 trims during this period from a great hair stylist who understands my goals. (Also had a bad undercut trim when I strayed from the guy who regularly cuts my hair...will never do that again!)

How far down did your hair go? Was it to chest (like mine when I brush mine that far down) or longer? I couldn't tell but it looks fantastic!!!

My hair does fall on my chest area when brushed forward. It all falls to almost the same length front and back...thought the front is a bit shorter.
Thanks for the compliments...it is greatly appreciated. I once had a crewcut but would never again be happy with short hair. Am so glad I finally stuck it out and grew it long...wished I had done so years ago.
How long do you plan to let it grow? I, myself, have decided to let it grow as long as nature will allow.

Hey, I was wondering how many total years it has taken to grow the length of your hair and how many times a year did your trim your hair? Some people say that trimming hair is not necessary but after looking at your hair pics, trimming IS necessary. So far I have been growing my hair the completely shaved and now it has been 1 year, 6 months and 10 days and my lengh is 1 inch past my ears because I had it cut into a smauari bolo cut. Well, please post my answers. THank you.
I have had my hair trimmed 4 times during the last 18 months...many would say that is to many...and maybe it is.
I am lucky to have a male stylist who understands my goal and is helping me to acheive it...I get alot of support from him. At one point I was going to have him cut my hair and he talked me out of it.
If I was you I would just let your hair grow at this point. When you feel you need to get a trim "or else" be careful who you go to. Make sure they understand you are growing your hair long...but in my opinion 99.9% of stylists will still screw you over.
