what do they mean when they say.. your hair is nasty..
someone told my friend that his hair is nasty.. and i just want to know what they mean by that
Well, BBJ, not sure exactly what was meant by "nasty". Could be a buildup of oils and gunk on the hair requiring better washing and care of the hair. Could be a general mess of hair requiring proper combing and brushing. Could also be a word they use when they mean to harass your friend.
So, suggest proper hair care if not practiced already and also suggest thick skin in terms of dealing with people.
i think its because he doesnt comb it... ill make sure he does..
Thanks Antesse
It utimately doesn't mean a thing...other than whoever said such a tacky remark is a classless boor.
Sorry, BBJ, but your posts are really starting to annoy me.
You ask the most stupidest questions that make me think you're about 10 years old. -_-; Judging from the posts, you seem very troubled with your hair and caring for it.
I really didn't want to click on this topic, but I just had to see what was in store and not surprisingly, a DUMB question. *sigh*
Marth:
I really do not see how your post adds to the forum when you feel that BBJ's posts do not either. Perhaps BBJ is at a different stage in the hair journey than you or perhaps he truly is a little more confused about some things. This hyperboard exists to help everyone who wishes to grow his hair long and sometimes questions have obvious answers to some but are a little more arcane to others. In the future, can you be a little less critical of users such as BBJ? Thanks.

If you cant be postive or supportive towards other users can you keep your comments to yourself in future Thank You

Someone that is jealous!
Well, The question at hand is not a very difficult one to answer. All it takes is a little common sense. Okay, Where do I start? let me define "Nasty" for you.

2.offensive to taste or smell; nauseating.

noun
9.Informal. a nasty person or thing.
Out of all the definitions, I am sure that the friend meant that the hair on the person was Nauseating and unclean.
I really hope that this helped, Billy Bob John.
Always good to hear from you Billybobjohn.
As for your friends hair, look at it closely next time you are around him...could be he forgets/foregoes the comb?
Another possibility is that his hair is fine and he is now just the butt of stupid comments.
peace

Best thing to do is ask the person who said it. It is the only way you will ever know.
They mean that they think your hair is nasty, I imagine.
Could we be suffering from a Generation gap here? Knocking on 30 now I'm always hearing words used by teenagers which in my day meant one thing now mean something entirely different.
"Wow your hair is nasty" - could mean its pretty cool. Who's to know?
"Fat" (spelt Phat) is good...
"Kicking" is good - in my day that's what you got from the playground bullies.
"sweet" means excellent, in my day it was something you brought at the tuckshop and if a girl called you sweet all your mates laughed at you.
Could "nasty" be one of the same or does that still mean, just plain "nasty".
I just found an "urban" dictionary and discovered that "Nasty" can mean something that is appealing! LOL!!! The definition they gave was "Something that is really cool or "sick". Phrase used to describe some one that is good at something. I found the definition at urbandictionary.com
It means they have very bad manners, that they are up tight, and rude as well. Just thank them, and tell them that you get continual feedback from beautiful women. If that isn't so yet, it will be.
And now a word on our projected fear that we will not be hired if we have long hair.
I live in North Carolina, which I love, but must admit not all of our citizens are the best educated nor most enlightened, and we are we are not the most progressive political jurisdiction in all the world.
However, everywhere I go I see 5 to 15 % of men with long hair -- a heat/Ac tech, several postmen, fex ex and UPS men, dentists, physicians, lawyers, bankers, clerks in stores, waiters, [food prep handlers by NC law have to wear a net, but there they are in the deli in the grocery with hairnets] We do not even discriminate against a 2nd degree murderer, with long hair, who was just sentenced to life in prison without parole, for killing a beautiful Chinese American renologist MD who he blamed for the death of his son. Long hair did not prevent him from going to prison, so you see there is virtually no discrimination. I am sure there is the local troglodyte, but my guess is that in time his business will suffer. Men, we have won a cultural transformation. We are still a minority, but we are no longer seen as undermining civilization.
When people ask me I say that my long hair ia a dedication of respect to the natural world which we hope to preserve, and when I am sked about my small white gold bi-lateral (loups, which I never remove)earrings, I say that for me I affirm the equal rights of women, and believe that a world in which people talk and negotiate is a better place to raise our families, than a world in which we think we can make anyone do anything by force, and when I see another man with long hair and bi-latral earrings I usually find a similar commitment to social values.
Never cut you hair because you think someone will close a door in your face. Keep your hair clean and neat, when you are interviewing for a job, and if the door is slammed in your face, get in touch with your state equal employment Office, and your local chapter of the ACLU.
