When I was a Jr. in High School, I remember the older sister of a friend of mine was famous for always taking FORE-V-E-R to fix her hair "just so". According to her mom, she spent literally ALL DAY before her Senior picture was to be taken shampooing, conditioning, curling, drying, combing, teasing (something that was popular in the '60s; but you hardly ever hear of it nowadays), styling, and then plastering it all down into place with a ton of hairspray...
Then, according to her younger sister, the moment after the photo was taken, she came back home to dunk her head in the bathtub to get rid of all the goop she had put in her hair!
I have to admit that, especially when my hair was first growing long, I "experimented" with a lot of different styles before stepping outdoors for the day, --- only to have it ruined less than a block's walk later... Now I have a different view on this: I have decided that I've been blind to missing out on a fabulous hair-stylist that has been around all along, --- I just didn't value his sense of aesthetics at first; but now "have seen the light", and feel he's really the most creative hair stylist around. His name? "The Wind!"

Thanks for posting this Ken, you know I agree completely, after washing the best style is too let nature blow it around and mix it up a little. It always hangs the best after that, and you are right, I have always beleived that if one 'teases' and tweaks their hair into position then eventually (be it rain, wind, whatever) the natural flow will show itself and then I guess those people get frustrated, but me I just let it do whever it wants, and in my opinion it always looks better plus I never have to check in the mirror 'cos I know exactly what it will be looking like.
Thanks agin Ken.

my stylist ;-)
Mr Wind also does visits to Tenerife - he caught me unawares in this self-portrait attempt.
Hi Ken,
Very cool photo, and it is true that I have cursed the wind too many times! However, I have begun to accept it more recently, as it is just a natural part of Nova Scotia's climate and there is no point fighting it. I REALLY need to get a "windy" picture of my own posted sometime, but it might be a tad scary!
Take care,
David
That was a fine one the other day David on your balcony!
Cheers Dave
Mr.Wind sure is a great hair stylist!
Great photo Ken
Isn't he great? He does my hair too and people always ask me who does my hair. LOL
Kevin
Yes, Mother Nature, the affordable stylist!

Hey Ken
I thought that I was probably the only to enjoy letting the wind whip my hair all around. Well, guess I thought wrong. Isn't it wonderful! :-)

Hey Ken ...
Nice shot man.. gotta love the ol wind. He/She frequently does mine as well. Funny thing ... the longer my hair gets ... the more he/she comes to entertain me...
Take Care ...
Tristan
Hi Ken,
Nothing wrong with the natural look my hair and it really shows you hair colours off. As we've had gales this week I've too have been getting used to the natural look.
Cheers,
John.B
I only prefer old Aeolus' styles when the wind's in my face, not from the back, but you don't seem to mind either way. Maybe in time I'll grow to appreciate it like you.
