I'm seriously thinking about getting an under cut. my mom wants me to because she said that it would look more presentable than it does right now. i've been growing my hair for 7 months and my bangs are 7 inches long (my hair grows at an incredible rate). If I were to get the cut, i would most likely slick it back for about 3 months and then put it in a pony tail. the only draw back is that it would prbably take me 2 years to get it to my shoulders. can anyone give me some advice? any help is appreciated.
An undercut doesn't shorten your bangs or the hair on the top of your
head. It is just a buzzcut around the bottom or fringes of your head.
Like maybe from 1" above your ears down and the back of your neck
below your (future) ponytail. If your bangs are 7" now you should be
very close to having a ponytail now.
i am a fan of the undercut. i think it looks sleek, neat and when the rest of the hair is grown out, it can look professional even.
however, IF your hair is not long enough to put in a ponytail now, then you should wait. the ponytail is a part of the undercut look. so if i were you, i would wait until you have a good length ponytail and THEN get an undercut.
just my opinion!
