There is regularly some discussion around here about whether long hair looks "professional" or not.
I live in a conservative part of rural Ontario, Canada. There are a number of long-hairs around but most fit into the "biker" category (and ride some pretty nice bikes too).
Today I had an appointment with my wife at one of our major chartered banks to do a bit of business. I made sure that I was well dressed (we wanted money). I was quite pleased to see when we went in that one of the loan officers (not the one we were seeing) had a tail down to mid-back though. And yes - we got our loan.
So - for all those out there being told that long hair will block you from a "good job", that doesn't seem to be what reality is showing.

Congrats on the loan ... I think you're right. Hopefully as time goes on ... stereotyping and discrimination on all levels will completely disappear... I know it will never completely happen .... but we can say "imagine" all the people ..... livin in harmony.. right?
