Really at this point I forget how many months it's been since I started this 2nd journey, each update seems to come by quicker & quicker. It may be simpler to just start talking in terms of years instead.
Looking at my photobucket account (click on my avatar for the link) it seems I decided to stop getting haircuts around May 2005 and started recording my growth in August 2005. So I'm at around 2yrs 4 months.
I really can't imagine life without my long hair anymore!
Here's a few points I'd like to revisit in my current journey:
August 2005: UNHAPPY... :(
January 2006: BIG HAIR
July 2006: BIGGER HAIR
September 2006: PONYTAIL ATTEMPT
December 2006: GETTING SOME LENGTH IN THE BACK
January 2007: FIRST DAY OF WORK FOR 2007-START THE YEAR WEARING A PONYTAIL FULL TIME, ALTHOUGH THE BANGS STILL COME OUT EASILY...
April 2007: THE PONYTAIL GETS THICKER...
THAT BRINGS US TO MY SEPTEMBER 2007 UPDATE!
Yesterday, I dyed my hair using a semi permanent colour called Clairol Golden Brown. I think it made it a little darker, but it's hard to tell in the photos. I'd say the overall effect was minimal because my hair is just too thick. But I thought I'd give it a try out of curiosity. I have never coloured before, and yes I may do so in future! I know I'm bad...
Besides that, not much appears to change except it gets longer each month. I will be getting a minor maintenance trim in December this year to remove the splits/uneven hairline across my back.
HALFTAIL: URBAN COWBOYS STYLIST THE WIND WAS HERE YET AGAIN YESTERDAY, SO MESSY HAIR DAY.
BRUSHED AND READY FOR BED. I ALWAYS SLEEP WITH MY HAIR UNTIED, FOR SOME REASON I'M THE OPPOSITE TO MOST GUYS HERE, I END UP WITH UNBEARABLE TANGLES IN THE MORNING IF I LEAVE THE PONYTAIL IN.
ALSO I HATE THE ELASTIC PUSHING INTO MY HEAD WHEN I LIE ON MY BACK.
PROVIDED I DETANGLE BEFORE BED IT'S A BREEZE TO GET READY IN THE MORNING.
NEW PARTY LOOK...
I went out to a party for some heavy dancing last night and decided to try this look. It's just a halftail, with another tie at the base of the hair tying in with the end of the halftail. I did this because sometimes my bangs still come loose with just a low tie, especially when dancing. Also unfortunatly my fingers are way too clumsy to master braiding, no matter how many times I look at that youtube video of Jason braiding his own hair. He's so gifted!
Anyways, that's it for this month, see you next month!!

Thanks for the intensive pics, and is it really 2 years, wow you hair has come along leaps and bounds and it looks simply amazing. Keep in growing and wonderful example of nice tick wavy hair.
Like you I keep my hair untied at night and sort out the frizz and "crystal tips" look in the morning. Okay it's a picture from kids TV show that I remember but you get the idea.

As always, your hair looks absolutely fabulous. You are probably blessed with the thickest hair of anyone on the entire hyperboard, and it has lots of shine and grows fast as well.

Wow Matt you really have some of the thickest and best hair I have seen here! It has such body and shine it is phenomenal. I am quite jealous of all of it lol. Keep it up Matt whatever you are doing is well worth it!
The new style looks great too as you really have a lot of hair to control :)
