Can anyone tell me what hair type Dave Grohl's hair is? I think his hair is awesome but he keeps cutting it short and regrowing it. Not sure if it is straight,wavy. Must be a pain for him to keep re- growing it back.

Well based on the pic you provided I would say his hair is just straight or at best maybe slightly wavy if it were longer.Maybe a view from the back would provide a better way to judge.Looks cool though as he should let it stay longer.Mark
Good query that you've positted here, Mr. Ten-hundred, "What hair type DOES Mr. Grohl exactly have anyway?" Havin' jus' seen the taped telecast of the multi-site LIVE EARTH concert this evening on the Universal-Paramount Network that had taken place on July 7th of this year, I have some astute observations to apply.
First of all, it was great to see his band The Foo Fighters in top form, with a newly returned Pat Smear, he originally of L.A.'s seminal punk group, The Germs (R.I.P. Darby Crash!), back w/t band. YEAH! Well, just go to old shots when Dave wuzz in Nirvana.
I would ascertain that he has a type of thick albeit straight hair, with an under-layer (undercoat?) along the sides and the back that has a natural waviness to it w/o being unmanageably curly.
Bein' on the road a lot w/ a "punishing" touring schedule, his hair quality might even appear unrulier and curlier than it actually is. Nice to see you post this question and its link up here. Life on the road, man; been there done that. Always keep Mane 'n Tail conditioner w/ ya in good supply and carry a good boar's bristles brush.

Grohl's hair was always dead straight when he had it longer back in his Nirvana days. His hair seems to be thinner nowadays but it's still normal thickness.
